Yea, you guys are right. This is very surprising. But this tax exemption roll back happened in January under PTI!

China has made solar panels very cheap to buy. Also, many countries are able to set up local manufacturing of panels.. Pakistan may try as well.

This is a gift from the imported government, expect more nice future goodies from selected imported government.

a government formed literally 2-3 weeks ago is not responsible for energy shortfalls- thought it was simple to understand

It's PTIs "fault" but if I was in PTIs shoes would have done the same... they were investing in cheap electricity with dams while running these excess power plant required a lot of money (importing fuel for example when we are already experiencing CAD issues and you would probably need a loan to import fuel)

best solution would have been coal plants in the south with thar coal
