If you have ''to'' then replace it with Arabic! Some people on here have a major inferiority complex; wannabe gora.

Some here would rather travel on Donkeys and sleep on the heap of sand just like 600 AD.
pathetic but real.
Luckily most of the educated youth has already abandoned these stone age tribals.
Both are different things.
Have you ever seen the whole press briefing in the local language?
Let's not go overboard here and make assumptions.
So speaking Urdu makes you a stone age tribal, old age and as I would say again, "Paindu"?
I am a proud Paindu then!
If you have ''to'' then replace it with Arabic! Some people on here have a major inferiority complex.
On a closing note I would say, tooti hui angrezi bol lain gay just to become more "modren", but won't speak "paindu" Urdu...this is a general observation in the public I have made.
Beleive me,
I love to speak urdu (Lkhanavi style) among Urdu speaking friends.
But with Sindhis, I'd use as much Sindhi even tooti phooti.
With Punjabis I'd use Punjabi even tooti phooti
When traveling through different countries,
my first sentence is always local (French, Arabic etc. ) depending on where I am
then switch to English.
When traveling to other countries, one cannot even say "I am proud paindu".
What on earth are you talking about.
Let's not mix local with international interaction.
Thank you.
Finally we have a language !
This should have been done step wise.
First we should make Urdu our official language in Pakistan and then when it is fully established here, then we should move on to abroad visits.
I would recommend the following:
1. Speeches in English in English speaking countries.
2. Speeches in Urdu in all non English speaking countries.
And you say it in English
Oh what an irony.
Ulti ganga?
hahahah
Bhai Jaan
Even China is spending HUGE amount of effort to learn English and use it inside and outside China
And here we are?
Going in the opposite direction. aka Backwardigans
hahaha
Funny that you are using perfect English to convince others not to speak English. Why are you comparing two different things?
I amt talking about official press conferences b/w two leaders or secretaries or whatever.
There are transnational facilities available and the local language gets translated to either English or into multiple different languages (as in UN).
Nobody is saying for you to speak Urdu while in Paris or Amsterdam or wherever.
That's all.
pathetic backward tribal thinking.
Brilliant Step....Should have done ages ago....
And @FaujHistorian bhai,Every country/nation promotes its OWN culture, language, etc. You seem to miss this point..........The problem in Pakistan is that we never gave much (deserved) importance to Urdu in national affairs and became so much obsessed with English that now anything that is non English appears lowly to us.Peace
So??????English is much older than that and if we go by your logic than learning English should be going backwards..First off all urdu is mainly 150 years old language. keep this in mind.
How come?????Is`nt Urdu the National language of whole of Pakistan???????What you say about Urdu is more relevant to urban areas of Punjab and Sindh.
Where do u live bro????Never heard of any thing like that beforeFor the rest of the Pakistan, English has been part and parcel of lives for pretty much the same period as urdu.
