If a man marries outside his caste, his family wont kill him, this privilege is only for the women.

No woman should marry a man from Punjab, Haryana and Delhi if he does not have a sister. If his parents could not produce a daughter, then they should adopt as many girls as they have sons.

The parents who killed their daughter would not have killed their son if he married outside the caste. And if the lady had married on her own but within the caste, most likely she would be alive today. So caste is at the core and since its a male doinated society, they perhaps thought that they have lost face in their society hence the honour is lost and killing followed.
The sense of owning the females of the family is the result of male domination. Today a majority of Indian families are mature and educated, however, a sizeable number of families specially in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi are still having that medieval mentality. Islam has nothing to do with this attitude. And South Asia has not inspired Saudia, Gaza or Indonesia. This is not specific to South Asia and majority in SA dont subscribe to such attitude. Any generalization about India should be done carefully. By her sheer size and numbers, India has everything overwhelming. So whatever you will say about India will have enough sample size to be right. We are a liberal, pluralist country with freedom of speech and freedom of media. Secondly we have our own value systems. So when the world thinks struggle is synonimous with violence, they cant appreciate India's non-violent, peaceful methods of struggle. Buddhism, Sufism, Yoga, Bollywood, Information Technology and hard working people are the few major influences on the world by India.

I have never heard such an idea as in the bold part. Why should no males be born?

There are fewer males than females in Russia and they are still tharki. I believe the problem is wider than that.
