Sorry but this is not related to education first of all because her parents were not stopping her from getting education or some one else as for issue of marrying other group or caste many educated people have issues too. That is an old issue but this is completely different issue.

Again sir, education only enlightens the way, the person still has to walk. Forget the girl getting educated, the parents too seems reasonably educated, still that didn't prevent them from keeping their pride over their own child. The girl on the other hand had the courage to choose for her own life. The girl didn't commit any blasphemy nor did she ask the society to care of her.
The moot question here is why the society (or atleast some sections) of it doesnot allow a person to make his/her own decisions and respect them.

college "education" is nonsense... colleges are meant to produce wage-slaves not actually educated people... those who are really confident about themselves will drop out of colleges... i did so 16 years ago... and because of that i have achieved much.

A sad event which comes from parents being hawkish and evil. How could anyone kill their own daughter? Honour killing is a horrible practice. These rights violations in the subcontinent must end. I feel sorry for the girl.

Anyone can fall in love and accepting such love should be the parents responsibility. I am saddened deeply by this event.
