Gulalai was angry after Imran asked about Dubai fundraising details: sources

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – New revelations regarding Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Gulalai surfaced according to which the female politician was angry after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan asked about details of fundraising campaign she was leading in Dubai.

According to sources, Ayesha Gulalai met Amir Maqam in Governor House before making an announcement to quit PTI. She was running a fundraising campaign in Dubai from past one year.

It was revealed that hopelessness regarding fundraising and ticket became basic reason behind holding press conference and uttering scathing allegations against the party.

On the other hand, PTI Chief Imran Khan laughed while watching Ayesha Gulalai’s presser and said I told her that decision regarding her ticket would be taken by party’s parliamentary board.

He said Ayesha Gulalai attended National Assembly sessions 47 times in four years and that parliamentary board was not satisfied with her performance.

The real story behind Ayesha Gulalai’s exit from PTI

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Ayesha Gulalai announced her exit from the party apparently over the grounds of ‘immoral’ behavior of Imran Khan; however, sources say, real story behind the allegation is different.

According to our correspondent, Gulalai was convinced by PML-N senior leader Amir Muqam to quit the party following their meeting at Governor House Peshawar where the PTI MNA had decided to leave the party. Her grievances were apparently exploited by Amir Muqam.


The issue of refusal of party ticket to her by Imran Khan is also a reason behind her decision to party ways with PTI.

The third motive, according to sources, is the fundraising issue. “She had been collecting party funds in Dubai for last one year, but when Imran Khan asked her to provide its details, she got angry,” a source said.

Both the issues of ticket and the fundraising led her to launch tirade against party chairman Imran Khan and other top party members at a press conference.

She demanded Imran Khan’s disqualification under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution, saying that the PTI chief is ‘dishonest’ and this fact should be considered by the Supreme Court during proceedings of a case seeking the PTI leader’s disqualification.

She said Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak is involved in massive corruption and distributing jobs illegally among his relatives.

Wasay i am a bit reserved for now. I mean, it sounded ridiculous. It was Badly scripted/planned and even more poorly executed (thus quite conclusive PMLN link right there ) and there is absolutely no sense to it all. However, i will wait for the response from PTI and Imran Khan before i commit to anything on this one. Not that i have tiniest bit of doubts but Imran HAVE TO handle this one like pros!

I have a different opinion on this.. When such insults are directed at you, you should keep quite, just like IK has been doing in the cases of Javed Hashmi and Reham Khan.

When you start responding, the matter remains in limelight for an extended period, and this really proves detrimental to the popularity.

Khair, if IK is going towards litigation, I am sure he has thought about each and every consequence.
