Future senator from current SCO judges of this panama bench?

If its from this panama bench... Advocate or pakora?? My first guess would be advocate... Or it could be pakora too..since Nadeem Malik sharef some info regd relations between pakora judge and one PML N leader....

Let's leave it at; it is one of the serving Judge's of SCP as of today :big_boss:

Tahir ul Qadri's pov and Asad Umer's pov re current JIT, hear what Asad Umar is saying .......we are still being advised by PPP to change course - that is 100% true:

114. It has already been mentioned in the opening part of this judgment that respondent No. 1 has held the highest public offices since the year 1981 and such offices include those of the Finance Minister, Chief Minister and Prime Minister and in one of his interviews he had stated that he had decided to disassociate himself from the family business in the year 1997 although no material has been produced before us in support of such claim. There is no denying the fact that at least between 1981 and 1997 the said respondent was actively engaged with his family business and was simultaneously enjoying the above mentioned highest public offices. It is also an admitted fact that the relevant two offshore companies own the four properties in London from the years 1993/1996 which offshore companies are statedly owned by respondent No. 1’s son namely Mr. Hussain Nawaz Sharif at least since the year 2006. The dependent and non-earning children of respondent No. 1 are admittedly in possession of the said properties in London since the years 1993/1996 and, thus, it is respondent No. 1 who is deemed to be in possession of those properties since the years 1993/1996. Nothing has been produced before this Court either by respondent No. 1 or his son to show that before the year 2006 the said offshore companies and the relevant properties were owned by somebody else. It is, therefore, more likely than not that the said companies and properties were set up or taken over at a time when respondent No. 1 was holding the above mentioned highest public offices in Pakistan. His asserted business relations with Al-Thani family of Qatar and the commonly known blessings received by his businesses from the royal families of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia may also point towards his public offices in Pakistan having inseparable connections with his businesses in other parts of the world. In that backdrop a serious issue arises as to whether respondent No. 1 has been an ‘ameen’ while in charge of the resources of the motherland or not. Plato is universally acknowledged as one of the greatest philosophers of all times and in his book ‘Republic’ he had concluded many thousand years ago that for the position of the king he would prefer a philosopher over a merchant because a philosopher is a visionary thinking about the future whereas a merchant may find it impossible not to keep his mundane business and property interests in mind even when administering the republic. Plato was indeed a wise man.

A lot has been discussed regd Godfather analogy used by Justice Khosa in his verdict..but what abt this Plato reference?

Bhigo bhigo kar tanz kia hai, Justice Khosa ne yahan par.. Nawaz Sharif main koi sharam, koi haya?

Absolutely spot on!

When you have time; this is a nice piece by Saad Rasool a Harvard Law grad:

Post-Script: We all owe a debt of gratitude to Justice Asif Khosa and Justice Gulzar Ahmed. Not for any partisan proclivity, but simply for representing that exceptional breed of intrepid judges who are willing to stand up to the murky financial dealing of our entrenched status quo.

Full article: http://nation.com.pk/columns/23-Apr-2017/a-judgment-to-remember

And since you do have interest in law (at least that is the impression I got from your posts), do read the connection between Literature and Law in below mentioned writeup:

Yes... I have read this article earlier.. Indeed a great article..

There are some other brilliant articles on dissenting notes in panama verdict...too.. Like "Glorious dissent" in express trubune..and another article "I am dissenting and i know it" ...I loved these articles

Regd Justice Khosa and Justice Gulzar's judgment..its not only their verdict..of disqualification tht i loved...But un dono ne jis tarah expose kiya hai Nawaz Sharif ko..aur bhigo bhigo kar tanz kiye hain.. I think none in any instituition in Pakistan has ever done tht before.. Salute to these two judges for their courage

For some strange reason, in this Ramzan Mubarak it seems- $harif's and his touts are crying louder than Devil.

Don't know why?

Don't know why?

Devil will cry on The Judgement Day, whereas Shariffs are crying as they are fast approaching their judgement day on the land.

Its 50 50, aisa ho bhii sakta hai or nahi bhi, Pakistan main sab kuch possible hai atleast history tu yehi kehti hai.

@PakSword @Panther 57

When panama hearing finished...Dr sb started saying within 1 week...ke judges ne alna faisla likh liya hai., he was saying with as much confidence ke judges apna faisla likh chukay hain.. Kisi bhi waqt aa sakta hai.. Justice Khosa ne inhein kaan main aa kar bataya tha ke faisla likh liya hai!!

Inki so called SC main koi source bhi thee,,,jis ne inhein bataya tha.. Phir verdict ki hint bhi de rahay thay ke waah kiya faisla aanay wala hai

When verdictw as announced..he kept screaming for 3 days ke jo faisla aanay wala tha..woh dhabardoos hogaya hai... Yeh woh faisla nahi hai....jo faisla aana tha.. Main Chief Justice se kehta hoon ke suo moto notice lein.. Yeh verdict reserve honay ke dauran dhabardoos hogaya hai..hint karrahay thay ke shayad judges ne bhi garbar ki hai..

Aaj keh rahay thay..ke judges ne tu apna kaam bhtt acha kiya.. Open hearing ki... Unhon ne kaam zabardast kiya.. JIT ko unhon ne full powers dein... Lekin JIT bik gayi.... Aaj inhein yaad nahi raha ke verdict ke baad kaha tha..inhon ne...ke asal verdict dhabardoos hoagya tha..aur chief justice se suo moto notice lenay ka keh rahay thay.. Aaj keh rahay thay ke judges ne bhtt acha kaam kiya..

Why dont u understand, DAKTARR is the only family entertainment available to us in Ramadan, aap hum se yeh sasti tafreeh bhi cheena chahti hain ? :undecided:

@Farah Sohail Mubarak ho JIT ne apki sun li or PM ko bulwa lia hai on thursday :D

First of all, I would say that Asad Umar is really a wise guy as how intelligently he handled this question without saying anything negative about Dr. Tahir ul Qadri's statement and still maintaining his own POV.
Well, not much time is left so soon we will find out the truth but until then we stand by the SC and JIT. However we must keep an eye on the members of JIT.

Like everybody is saying 2 said nawaz sharif should be disqualified and 3 said that furthur investigation should be done through JIT. 2 of them are to be C.J in future. I don't know about much of panama investigation but if jit clears nawaz shariff then it would mean that 2 judges were wrong in their decision and they would lose their credibility so i think JIT would not clear Nawaz sharif as it was not formed by supreme court to decredit its judges plus statements of pmln members to make jit controversial indicates that circumstances are against nawaz sharif

Interesting....Shahbaz comes into spotlight.

Nawaz's urgent visit to Saudi can divert the course of proceedings.

He had been stumped when Qatari delegation visited Pakistan and sought confirmation re which side Nawaz will support.

As he did not have confidence to visit Saudi alone hence taking his country's COAS for moral support.
