If this JIT is going the above route then - Bonne nuit
It's open and shut case; write a letter to British Govt., obtain transaction records and land registry details for flats in London and cross check/match it with what is stated in Qatari letter and Ishaq Dar's affidavit under 164 - it seems this JIT is starting as Jatiumra's Insurance Treaty.
The JIT is going in the right direction in my opinion. It has been given a set of questions, has to work on all of them.. simultaneously. It can't just come up with its own strategy. There are some easy questions, and some extremely difficult ones.
The scope of JIT includes the following:
1 - How the Gulf Steel Mills in UAE came into being;
2 - What led to its sale;
3 - What happened to its liabilities;
4 - Where did its sale proceeds end up;
5 - How did they reach Jeddah, Qatar and the UK;
6 - Whether Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz in view of their tender ages had the means to possess and purchase the flats;
7 - Whether the sudden appearance of the letters of Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al-Thani of the Qatar was a myth or a reality;
8 - How bearer shares crystallized into the four upscale flats in London;
9 - Who was the real and beneficial owner of Nielsen Enterprises Limited and Nescoll Limited;
10 - How did Hill Metal Establishment come into existence;
11 - Where did the money for Flagship Investment Limited and other companies set up or taken over by Hassan Nawaz;
12 - Where did the working capital for such companies come from; and
13 - Where do the huge sums running into millions gifted by Hussain Nawaz to the prime minister drop in from.
The questionnaire that has been sent to Qatari family is related to questions # 7, 8 and 9.
The land registry details in UK mention the name of Nielson and Nescoll as owners. It would have been very easy if the ownership was under shareef family. But it's not, unfortunately. That's what we have been discussing all along from the beginning.
To understand the owner of the companies, JIT will have to go to Panama, where these companies are registered. We don't have any exchange of information agreement with Panama.
JIT is going through the first steps of gathering information from everyone, including Qataris. Once the information is there, it will be clear as to where the investigation should be directed.
