Pakistani Air Force Chief rolls out F-16 to bombs Taliban himself.

If you suck at your job, you do someone else's job in the public light to make them think you're good at your job....

Maybe sometime down the road you will reach that mental and educational level to read and understand about motivational factors and what separates a good leader and manager from a boss :)

The current military leadership has undoubtedly not only lifted the morale of our armed forces JAWANs but also made all patriotic Pakistanis really PROUD.

One fact that people in general are not realising is that during these last few years, our armed forces have had the opportunity to put their preparedness-level to the test and enabled them to upgrade their capabilities and capacities to meet the current-day requirements.

And the results they have achieved are being acknowledged globally.

To those who are critical of the Air Chief leading from the front...... guys, go learn a thing or two about leadership.

don't talibanis have stingers or something?

These double standards will leave us of nowhere. We will have to divorce the mullahs who don't condemn APS or declare terrorists shaheed or have sympathy for them.

Maybe sometime down the road you will reach that mental and educational level to read and understand about motivational factors and what separates a good leader and manager from a boss :)

Motivation gone down the road ' teil lene' when mullah burqa's second cousin was invited at PAF. You make a mistake and then correct it.

Pakistan is the No 1 Country in the world who has highest Officer causalities rate in the War.
As Pak Army officers always show the others:
Leader is who, who just don't show the path to followers but he himself lead the path in front and set an example how the job is done.

Army has decided "If not now, then never"........"Abi Nahi to phir Kabi Nahi"....
They are "Hath Doo Key" behind those Terrorists to Kick their A**. :p:

You indians can never understand this. And that tells a lot about your morale and leadership quality in military.
Yup. Next time ask him to do maintenance on a plane's engine also to provide leadership and morale boost to the Air force's ground staff too ;)

Our soldiers aren't afraid of death all the way from our Jawans to our generals. They welcome death with a smile.
That's why I said. Brave but foolish tactic.

You endians or indiots whatever are rich source of amusement on this forum with such a superior intellect
Chiefs are not trained to do repairs and maintenance but they are trained fighters.

Your posts phrasing is idiotic but the jist of it might have some merit. The idiotic bit has to do with your nationality and the ingrained need to diss anything Pakistani whether as a start or as a reply.

But the core of it has some merit that perhaps one might object to the Air Chief not being in the best of shape to lead a combat mission. However, that goes against the requirement of Air Chiefs in the PAF who are generally fit to fly even at the late stages of their careers. In addition, he flew a fairly routine ground strike against an undefended target in generally friendly territory; hence, was not a demanding sortie that needed the best of the best.

So as a trade off from a morale point of view to the risks involved, the morale bit wins.

.
Good morale booster for his juniors. Since the sortie was in his own territory and Talibans do not have serious ati-aircraft capability, this step did not have much risk..

For the very first time we have some real patriot generals......... both in Army and Air Force......... God speed to both of them.........

Hi,

The high casualty rate is due the LACK OF JOB DESIGATION-----. What a Lt or a Captain does in Pak military can be done by a Seargent in the U S military.

Pakistanis still have the mindset that the the Leader is the one who can do the job of 10 people-----whereas the world has moved onto that a leader is the one who can train 10 people to do their job of 10 people.

A soldier is dispensable---because that is what his job is---but the one who can train 10 people to do the job of 10 people is not dispensable.

It is these officers who are laying down their lives for the nation---it is these men we need alive to take the nation forward----because if they can do with the nation what they did on the frontline---would change the nation forever.

Acts like these are usually symbolic, of course the ACM will not be at the top of his game at this age and he definitely took a big risk, any other viper pilot could have done this. However i believe this was done to make a statement, or several statements in fact,

1. This is how serious we are to eliminate the terrorist scum.
2. Pakistan army will fight till the last man to do it.
3. Our Generals do not throw men into battle, they lead them in it.
4. To give a shut up call to the army haters who say that our General sit in the comfort of their offices and let
the soldiers die in battle.

Lets be real, what did the ACM have to prove? He is already at the highest rank he can be from where he will retire shortly, he does not need to score points for a promotion. There is nothing wrong about what he did. History proves that our Generals fought on the front lines along with their troops. If i remember correctly i read somewhere that ACM Noor Khan also used to fly CAPs and Recon sorties.

As long as you are medically fit to fly you fly.

These things have a limited lifespan...the batteries expire after some years, the Afghan-Soviet era manpads even if available will be non functional.

Our command structure and their's are different. A Lt can lead a company in the time of need as well and an NCO can lead a platoon, idk what problem you have with everything related to Pak mil. A battle hardened officer will always be of a greater value in future than a captain who continues to sit in safe garrison while practically his company is led by sargeants.
