Bilawal said that Pakistan Day reminds us of our utmost responsibility to follow the footprints of the founders for establishment of a democratic society with peace, justice and protection of human rights as hallmarks of the system. He said that extremism and terrorism have bruised the whole nation and were still posing serious threats, which need strong will to deal with as cosmetic and ad hoc policies on the issues have always backfired. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pledged that as the true torchbearer of the ideology of Pakistan together with essence of Pakistan Resolution passed eight decades ago, his Party will continue to fight against all odds, injustices and victimizations to achieve the dreams of the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for a peaceful, progressive and prosperous Pakistan.

Begum Nusrat Bhutto always opposed and condemned the brutalities of dictators, he said. Former President Zardari said that Begum Nusrat Bhutto has taught the nation to combat oppression and survive in the most difficult of circumstances with unyielding bravery and sheer determination.
