. . . .
I am not shia or pro iran or whatever it is that you make of me. I just don't like it when city-states try to tag along with separatists in Pakistan while simultaneously pairing up with our aggressors.

Being a Shia is irrelevant to being a Pakistani. Shia's make up 15 to 20% of the Muslims of the world. I belong to a Syed family and quite a few of my relations follow Jafri fiqah. In the Sargodha area when I was growing up there also many who called themselves "Maulai"; basically practice Sunni Braelvi Maslak but participated in Muharram except they did not do 'Matam'. I am personally partial to Sufism and would probably be considered a 'Kafir' by many Wahhabis, so what?

I have heard Shah of Iran commenting after 1971 debacle that Pakistan is showing signs of breaking up if that does happen Iran would take over Pakistani Baluchistan. On the other hand, I also believe that Saudis funded Deobandi/Wahhabi militant organizations like SSP & LeJ who target killed hundreds of innocent Shia Pakistanis.

My point is that in a scholarly discussion about Pakistan defense, we should limit our selves to the strategic matters. Because I believe that when it comes to the crunch, every country looks after its interests only regardless of ethnicity or religion. Current Saudi-Isareali nexus against Iran and to hell with the poor Palestinians is a glaring example of this reality.
