Pakistan, Bangladesh hold talks in possible thaw

. .
Those of our businessmen who invested in Bangladesh, We want them to come back to Pakistan and invest in our garment industry.

.
Seriously thaw ? What thaw ?

A thaw is when two countries with long standing issues, cooperate to resolve the issues amicably.

What possible grievances does Pakistan have with Bangladesh, that needs solving before they can have better diplomatic relations with us ?

Inability and/or unwillingness to deal with Hasina is a diplomatic failure on their part, there's nothing that can be done about it unless they want to. Hasina maybe be a rock but she's no fool either, if the right moves are made, she will reciprocate.

Anyhow, realistically speaking the two countries don't really have much to gain from each other anyway.

Both countries are moving along just fine with the current bare minimum of diplomatic relations, I don't see why it shouldn't stay the way it is.

Right now amid a pandemic isn't the right time for these things anyway. The ultra nationalist lot in Dhaka will protest, if there are any moves on account of better relations with Pakistan.

And the ultra nationalist Pakistanis, on here and elsewhere, will be just as sore everytime they hear anything about Bangladesh and/or Hasina.

So don't go poking people in the eye, keep it the way it is; keep the status quo.

For now.
The observation made by Pak diplomats with Hasina is just....

Form pakistan side the issue is pretty clear
We resolved all issues when mujeeb came here.
We accepted bangaldesh, allowed china to enter in UN. Prisoners were released we even took bangaldesh debt(wrong decision in my opinion but as a concession).

Now if hassina wanta to use hostility as a means to remains in power so be it..we dont care...

Bangladesh isnt a super power and is on the other side of the planet

2 days after this article, massive propaganda against Bangladesh has started.

Bangladesh will go through the same routine of being portrayed as minority hating country with no freedom at all.

I say Goodluck Bangladesh.
