Pakistan and Kashmir are part and parcel of each other. - COAS Raheel Shareef

Such rhetoric from general will at the most help him get an increase in military budget and nothing else.

There's a lot more actually.

Fighting to the End: The Pakistan Army's Way of War - written by C.Christine Fair.

I was taken aback by her fluency in Urdu. I was more surprised by the complete U-turn she took on Pakistan.

Wish you a happy Ramzan.

I found her analysis sensible. One salient feature I saw, the basis of her analysis is materials published by the Pakistani Army only.

Seems like Kashmir issue will never be sattled. Both sides have lost so much to give it up now. Till the dynamics totaly changes in this region due to 3 rd world war or something.l, I dont think this issue will be over. :(

What do you think would be the "correct" way? Whatever results are achieved will also come with their share of problems. Pros and Cons. Snakes and Ladders. Swings and Roundabouts.

I am suggesting something more aligned with Kargil, where PA took part without uniforms.

Do you really want more bloodshed and violence Sir?

Haven't we had enough. The lives of soldiers shouldn't be squandered when talks can achieve the same thing

I agree with you, we already have to much violence on Kashmir. I always think, both countries should move towards an independent Kashmir. Switzerland type model.

Like what?

Let us take Kargil as an example. A covert military operation might succeed for a while, but then the international ramifications come into play. How would Pakistan deal with them, given that it failed utterly with Kargil's fallout too?
