Pakistan and Kashmir are part and parcel of each other. - COAS Raheel Shareef

Let us take Kargil as an example. A covert military operation might succeed for a while, but then the international ramifications come into play. How would Pakistan deal with them, given that it failed utterly with Kargil's fallout too?

I think Pakistan should independant Pakistan side of Kashmir and then ask India to do the same. Then in future we would have an independent Kashmir.

India refuses to discuss Kashmir issue to solve it. What other options do you suggest?
Like what?

For a discussion to be possible both sides have to give and take. India gives you Kashmir and weakens it's position geographically and tactically in area and what do we get Sir?

We want peace but operations like Kargil are the gestures of someone who want's to blackmail and force a solution down our throats.

People don't respond too well towards such tactics and take an adversarial stance. What Kargil did was to drive us decades away from solutions and talks, I don't know what will happen after another Kargil but one thing I am sure of is the outcome won't be what you desire.

I am suggesting something more aligned with Kargil, where PA took part without uniforms.
Well i guess you are referring to using regular pakistan army soldiers to cross the border wearing Uniform.

Only reason pakistan is using its own citizens as terrorist as proxy (A.K.A non-state actor) is bcos pakistan army lost conventional wars against india. Using proxies gives pakistan benefit of deniability and get away with it (like mumbai 26/11, kandhar hijack). If pakistan army crosses the border india will do the same .

It will provide more legitimacy for india to go full force hammer & tongs with complete backing of international community. India wont win the war but economic cost will be high for both countries. India will not only recover but might try cut of china-pak territorial link in kashmir. If that is not possible, gain territory in south in punjab as bargaining chip.

End result is zero-sum stalemate war and with more headaches.
When you start a war you should know how to finish it. So how do you plan to end this one according to pakistan's advantage ?

The State of Kashmir that once was no longer exists, divided between three nuclear powers. The only viable solution left is to convert all Lines of Control into recognized international borders.

Thanks, this is the only viable solution short of a nuclear holocaust with winner takes all.

What they can do is, they can equally divide Kashmir, mean give some more area to Pakistan like Baramullah and Poonch. Both armies also get off from Shichin glacier.

Giving Pakistan some more land?

Except soothing Pakistani ego, what will it solve?

What I mean is divide Kashmir equally between the two countries. There is no other solution for this issue. Also take off armies from Siachin glacier.

And please can you take off your Cobra piicture?

Kashmir is already divided into three parts.

As Pakistanis claim..Kashmir is a struggle of Kashmiri people for a right of self determination.

What does taking more land from India and giving it to Pakistan solve?

So either it not a struggle self determination, just pakistan sponsored terrorism..and that is why appeasing Pakistan with more land, will get them to shut off their jihadi taps.

Or If it is struggle for self determination..then people of Kashmir will still wouldn't have gotten their rights.

They are so integral that the joint statement fails to even mention Kashmir.
