I also think this question is important. Because if it wasn't IK then it may have been someone trying to box him in and make IK conform to a path Pakistan's new PM doesn't want to take. In that case IK has the choice of supporting that person and being his servant, or else alienating that person and the related bureaucracy and anti-American supporters.

PLUS it was America's war (cold war) not Pakistan's! We are doing you a service so stop treating us like how America has been doing so!

Add up the American expenses to date on Afghanistan and Iraq and then see how much is given to us who has to witness this crap everyday for past decades! We have received the most blow back even before America sent boots to Afghanistan! And even with boots in Afghanistan AND Iraq, America has not been successful ...despite the amounts spent..Without us, America would not only have lost the cold war, but may have lost morale in Afghanistan and Iraq might not even be a question!
