PAK-FA vs J-XX

Till the Time PAK-FA iss not completed, J-XX cannot be a reality or if Blue prints are stolen from US, then its a Different case for China, all in all J-XX it will be a cheap rip-off as its already produced bretheren.

that's uncalled for dude:tdown::tdown:
give the chinese credit where it's due, they are under major technology denial regimes (at present) and they are still forging ahead. some point out that they are building rip-offs or basing their technology on legacy russian hardware, but the fact is even building a rip-off is a time consuming and complex process and improving (old) and developing (new) technology isn't a walk in the park.
I say kudos to china to be ambitious and determined the way they are and I know India aspires to be like that as well.

^^^ Also if you are Chinese, would you spend money getting a patent in the US or in China nowadays?

I would get a patent in China, market it to Asia (China + Korea + Japan + ASEAN + Iran + CAR + SAARC), Africa (all countries), Middle East and surrounding areas (including Turkey), Eastern Europe, South and Central America (including Carribeans), North America, and Western Europe.

Depending on the need for patents to operate in said areas above, I would seek them. Because I already possess such patents in China, getting said patents would be easier as I can already prove I created / invented such thing before my competitors.

the forward canards in the jxx are out to make some diffrence ....may be an edge on the pakfa in maneurability...

Canards in a fifth gen. ac...?:what:Nope... I seriously dont think the J-xx will employ canards...
Chinese are not fools...They just blow up the RCS... definitely no way...

And with a thrust to weight ratio of 1.4 (estd) + 3-D thrust vectoring, PAK FA will defy gravity easily... Nothin will be able to match it:cheers: in WVR...

It is too early to really compare the two aircraft as both are still in development. My knowledge about the J-XX is limited, but I'll place my bets on the PAK FA.

Future vs Future = Future..
So lets talk about this topic in Future when both planes are developed and inducted with full capabilities..

Yeah.. It's too early to say anything about both these aircraft. All we can do is speculate and this will just turn into a fight between fans.

The Canadian air space violations were done for mere testing of the plasma stealth the Russians have developed... It was tested on a flight of Tu-22s... They were literally undetected...

And the Chinese getting plasma tech is something impossible... The Ruskies will never give it...

And if the chinese are so innovative like you said, they wouldnt have reverse engineered Russian products so cheaply...

Mind you they are yet to acquire (build) an aircraft carrier...:smitten:

I think there are several ways to apply plasma stealth to an aircraft, and that the Russians possess the best way, but the Chinese can use the cruder way.

This discussion is like about who is going to win the oscar in 2040

Typhoon has canards, yet it is supposedly the stealthiest 4.5++ gen aircraft.

So canards, if done correctly, might not have such a big impact on RCS.

LOL - you really think that all it takes to build a 5 gen fighter is a set of blue prints???!!! :hitwall:

The point of this thread is...............???

I call B.S.

If they were 'undetected', how would we even know that this happened?

And if the chinese are so innovative like you said, they wouldnt have reverse engineered Russian products so cheaply...

Work on refitting the Varyag is underway and 2 more indigenous carriers will be built by 2015.

China is atleast 25 years behind Russia in terms of aeronautics. Most of their programmes are base on Russian designs and helps. Topic closed.

Going by your logic then, PAK-FA should be no match for F-22 since Russia is 30 years late with its 5th gen design!

But then again, your logic is flawed.

We cannot say that the F-22 is better or the PAK FA or the J-XX is better at this point of time as the PAK FA and J-XX is still under development. Lot of information is classified and we can only speculate. We cannot say that just because the Chinese don't enjoy a reputation of designing advanced aircraft like the US or Russia, their aircraft will be inferior. A lot of research and development is going on and China is known for being secretive about it's defence programs. China may just surprise us all!
