there is too much difference b/w F-16 BLK 52+ and MI-35 M,
one is multi-role fighter aircraft and other is attack helicopter,
both serves for different purpose.

surplus is okay....we shouldnt get more block 52s...not right now, maybe later. Is the MLU process for older F16s even complete yet or near completion? i havent been really following that much lately

F-16 purchase was always on cards... Money is the only issue. If we had enough in the first place we might have gone for the full option of 36. But i guess the delay was actually to gather enough money to buy more...i speculate..and the super cobra sale can be a counter by the americans to the MI-35 deal..Any thoughtful ideas??

F-16 are the bottom heap in US inventory now(though still very good) and block 52 is has nothing revolutionary anymore which chinese themselves have not got.So not much problem i guess.

They will be hesitant to provide block 60 with aesa etc.

There's nothing in the Chinese inventory that matches f16 blk 52 except if they go ahead and buy su35. The reason why the Americans are still fiercely guarding paf f16's against prying eyes.

You haven't answered why the Americans are spending precious resources in safe guarding paf f16 from prying eyes if the Chinese have some ting already better.
