Kayani pledges matching response in no time

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Monday said Pakistan armed forces would give an equal response within few minutes if India carried out any surgical strike inside Pakistan.

He said this in a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr here. The crux of the meeting was that any further buckling under mounting Indian pressure would prove counter-productive in the sense that it would further encourage New Delhi to further build up pressure on Islamabad.

The Army chief apprised the president of operational preparedness of the armed forces. “The armed forces are fully prepared to meet any eventuality, as his men are ready to sacrifice for their country,” General Kayani told the president.

Despite Indian warmongering, President Zardari believed in gearing up efforts for peace, which should otherwise not be taken as a sign of weakness. Zardari said Pakistan wanted peaceful and cordial relations with all its neighbours, but the threatening statements of Indian leadership were creating an atmosphere of aggression and harming the regional environment. The meeting between the two lasted 60 minutes.

It will, once pakistan moves it western troops to eastern, USA might send in troops, and this will bug china and they will threaten to intervene.

If the USA comes, so will Israel and this going start another Arab war.

This is the most probable senario emerging from the present geoploitical scene.
I doubt indians would ignore China and Arabs as they bank on US and Israel for taking on Pakistan on its northern front.
Problem is Pakistan's political leadership agree to every indian blame.

i think indians might use BVR (astra missles) to attack pakistan air space. by this time some SU30 MKI were supposed to be equipped with astra missles but i think it has been kept a secret. if indians attack.. the best time for them to attack will be in the night. their technology is far superior than ours

You act as if we are using bows and arrows. WE HAVE BVR CAPABILITY IN A2A MISSILES ALREADY AND BEING PHASED IN ON A YEARLY BASIS. PLEASE REFER TO PAF BVR CAPABILITY THREAD.

PAF jet fighters continue flying over Lahore for the second day​

PAF jet fighters continue flying over Lahore for the second day LAHORE: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) four jet fighters today continued flying over the skies here for the second consecutive day also.

Sources said that the aircrafts equipped with the extra-fuel tanks kept taking rounds of Lahore air space on Tuesday morning for surveillance. PAF jet fighters taking off from Sargodha Air Base made rounds over Lahore for about 8 minutes and then landed at the Lahore Air Base besides making to and fro surveillance flight from Sargodha to Lahore.
The people witnessing the jet-speeding fighters happily waved and welcomed the ever-agile ‘Shaheens’ and voiced slogans in support of the motherland.

It may be recalled that PAF aircrafts yesterday also have flown over Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad air space for surveillance.

Pakistan ready to defend if war imposed: PM KARACHI: In a clear reference to warmongering by India, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday assured the nation of full preparedness of the government and the armed forces to meet any eventuality should a war was imposed on Pakistan.

Addressing the 32nd FPCCI Export Awards ceremony at a local hotel on Monday, the prime minister said the country’s political leadership has unanimity of views on the issue of national integrity.

Gilani lauded the Army for its highly professional and pro-democracy approach, adding there was no friction between the civilian government and the military.

Reiterating his government’s policy of dialogue, development and deterrence known as ‘3Ds’, the prime minister said his government has initiated dialogue with those who lay down their arms and renounced violence, adding this would eventually help Pakistan achieve economic stability.
