PAF F-16s Do Incorporate DRFM Technology !

lol ok

pdf these days has become a conspiracy theory factory

matches what I heard, but what I heard was Pakistan was offered two Ronald Reagan aircraft carriers and three squadrons of F-22 in exchange for Pakistan canceling the AZM program and eight submarine orders from China.
Sorry bud. Raptors not for export and I won't accept anything below latest Gerald Ford class aircraft carriers.

Sir @Khafee ’s thoughts about vipers coming in march
He told u when?

DRFM is a thing of a past which specialized in RF threats.

The AIDEWS incorporates DRFM along with SIRFC (Suite Of Integrated Radio Frequency Countermeasures). The version PAF F-16s fly with has both the units fused in one.

DRFM is excellent to evade an R77, but what it wouldn't do well in case of an R73. To tackle this challenge, AIDEWS was developed to counter infrared-guided missiles which are practically becoming BVR in terms of range.

The US DoD specifically directed developers to increase the range of AIM-9X Block III because of the proliferation of DRFM systems. But then systems like AIDEWS were invented.
Can they evade Meteor? Is this system better than Spectra?

During the 1st visit of Imran Khan to USA, the Americans asked to drop Azm and buy the latest variant of the F-15E Strike Eagle. F-16s upgrades were discussed, along with spare parts and with the possibility of acquiring the original extra batch of 18 Vipers but in the Block 72 format, the latter being a PAF demand.
Why to drop azm? Isint Azm's replacement F35 as both will be/are 5th gen

The Strike Eagle can carry more and travel further. Even the Israelis have decided to buy more F15s rather than order more F35s

what abt link 17 then?
I don't think the Americans would have allowed us to modify the F16s for Link 17. Hence the insistence on having them Link16 capable from the factory

Honestly, I was expecting F-15 with loans offer from the Americans as a carrot to the PAF. Project Azm and the prospect of PAF/PAC joining TF-X has certainly upset them.

Military sanctions threats -> not effective anymore.

Heard it from senior PAF servicemen. Yes they let go of that option and stuck to their own programs. Even though the Strike Eagle is the type of aircraft PAF requires not to mention the excellent logistical support and maintenance, but the unit cost is too high.

Whatever pleases you.

Cheers

You can not compare 4++ gen bird with 5th gen bird.

Also which version of Strike Eagle was offered (if offered)?

Israel's enemies are smaller and less capable it. But our enemy is bigger and its area-denial abilities are increasing! we need planes who can deliver a punch but without large RCS. F15 is not the solution.

The newer Stealth Eagles do have stealth features.

On the other hand F16s had such a traumatic affect on the Indians on 27th February that the only way they could safe face was to come up with a mythical F16 kill. They even did their level best to persuade the Americans to sanction the PAF's F16 fleet by cooking up all sorts of stories. Now imagine what psychological effect even a small fleet of Stealth Eagles would have on the IAF

Having said that PAF acted wisely by rejecting the offer which was being made at the expense of Project Azm

This also shows US doesn't want PAF to look towards Russia.

F22 is 500 million $$ plane what u gona do with 5 or 6 jets??

If the story is true, its not about Pakistan, but about the Military Industrial complex needing firm orders to keep the people employed going into an election cycle.

Japan was asked to drop its 5th gen program and while they might not do that, it did commit to buying another 100 F-35s. South Korea is being asked to pay $5 billion for Us troop presence. The Saudis are spending $110 Billion and to keep themselves in the US's good graces; Qatar went for 36 F-15s for $12 Billion.

As in Japan's case, if you have the money, you can spend on your own program, but you need to spend a good amount on Us products to still sit favorably with the US. Pure Business from the Deal Maker and Chief.

Otherwise, Previous administrations would never want to sell the F-15 to Pakistan. They don't even want to sell the F-16, because it could upset the balance in the region. Now that Pakistan is making deals with China, Turkey, Damen of the Netherlands, and Leonardo of Italy, the US Military industrial complex wants a piece of the pie.

even if in a hypothetical future, we can get some f15s it will not be silent eagle. Americans have never given us their top of the line tech.
