The Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia visited Petaling Street and remarked that he is against any kind of violence against Chinese there.

He has been swamped by positive support from Chinese Malaysians, while the Malaysian Government is accusing the Ambassador of interfering in the internal affairs of the country, and has summoned him.

wow.Does this mean that state violence against Chinese is part of Malaysian government policy?

Yes man! It is politics. Not official state policy, but ruling parties deliberately create tension to take advantage.

Just see the above page. Malaysian Chinese here seem to be more thankful for China's rise, than maybe even the Chinese themselves are.

I must say, among Chinese diaspora, Malaysian Chinese is by far the one that associates, and has some degree of loyalty to China.

See the most recent post, and the comments.

Mature vs immature, what can i say......
Malaysian government always play with fire.
In fact, a lot of gov from third world countries also used the same tactic. They basically need an internal enemy to divert the attention (instead of fixing their failed policy).

NOTE to Chinese member, this is internal politic not related to China. What the envoy said is to ensure the safety of their citizen (China's Chinese) rather than local Chinese :coffee:. But of course we will heard some people (in the gov and dumb nationalist) try to twist the statement for their own agenda.

Umno Youth wants gov't to act against China ambassador - Malaysiakini

Umno Youth international bureau wants Wisma Putra to act against Chinese ambassador to Malaysia Huang Hui Kang for "meddling in the country’s internal affairs".

Its chief, Mohamed Hazali Abu Hassan, took exception to Huang’s remarks when visiting traditional ethnic Chinese trading area, Petaling Street, in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

In a statement today, Hazali said Huang’s decision to visit Petaling Street during a ‘sensitive’ time and his remarks made there, raised several questions.

Huang on Friday had handed mooncakes to Petaling Street traders in conjunction with the mid-autumn festival.

His statement there, that the Chinese government is against racial discrimination and extremism, which appeared to be a subtle reference to the racially motivated protest at Petaling Street led by government-linked figures, had surprised Putrajaya.

Wisma Putra has reportedly summoned Huang over his remarks and he is expected to provide his explanation to Malaysian officials tomorrow.

Hazali also pointed out how diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia were over 41 years to date and therefore must be taken care of and protected.

Citing the two pandas loaned to Malaysia, Hazali said the ‘panda diplomacy’ was made due to the ‘high-level of friendship’ between the two countries.

“Due to the spirit of friendship, we think that Huang’s action was not appropriate and we urge that he explain his position."

He also reminded other ambassadors to always obtain advice from Wisma Putra before making any visits and statements, especially if the places and statements were sensitive in nature.

“Don’t let an isolated incident such as this affect the good relations between Kuala Lumpur and Beijing,” Hazali said.

Are you Chinese, Malay, Indian or Indigenous?

Chinese in malaysia is worse than blacks in south africa 50 years ago.

No more racist riot, rape or murder of local Chinese. Be it overseas Chinese or PRC ciitizen. Becos this time, China is economy and military strong. CCP has pledge against violent against any Chinese. They will not tolerate this time and will sail Type 071 filled with Chinese marines into any countries if they cannot stop violent against Chinese.

CCP extremely regret failing to act against indonesia anti Chinese riot in 1998. They repeat such time will not happen again since that time, China is still not very strong.

These time is different. Trying to play racist card for Malaysian will not work like in the 60s, 90s. Becos now in 2015, China is very strong. CCP will not tolerate such nonsense against any Chinese.

I don't think CCP will do anything if oversea ethnic Chinese get massacred again. We shouldn't,unless it's good for our own interests.

CPC has a duty to look after Chinese citizens, not foreign nationals who might be of ethnic Chinese descent.

Otherwise we would have stopped Burma from bombing the Kokang, and spent our resources to protect people like Gary Locke and Gordon Chang. LOL, no way.

I don't think so.

Overseas Chinese, many of them still have great admiration for China. Rather it was the overseas Chinese that brought in the first wave of investments in the country.

Heard of Robert Kwok?

Deng Xiaoping met him and personally thanked him for his effort in developing China. He was actually a really patriotic Chinese.

I am not asking that you should interfere in internal affairs like barge in with your military, or lecture them on human rights, or decide what political or developmental model they should take.

But the least you should do is to give them a free passage into and out of China without visa, something on the lines of what you are doing for Taiwanese. There can be one overseas Chinese card, through which you can enter the country easily.

Also, citizenship should be given to anyone eager to come back. Remember, Chinese Malaysians are a very entrepreneurial group, and highly educated.

In case of any real riot like situation, efforts should be made to evacuate Chinese.

Well, I'm one of the minority.
What i can say is, we (as a Malaysian) are destroy our own society and country; if the majority choose this destiny.

UN should directly involve only IF there are civil war, massacre or same type of incident.

Unfortunately in your country, it matters.
