If you say you are a Muslim, then you can't priorate an ethnicity beyond Islam. Your hair color or skin color or national tradition (sport/music whatever) shouldn't come before God/Allah. Believing in God/Allah, accepting Qur'an as the word of God/Allah and Muhammad (pbuh) as the last prophet and the final prophet of Allah-u-teala should come above everything else. This is truly the criteria of being Muslim. A Muslim cannot put anything above Allah, then he becomes disbeliever. I hope you understand the importance, after reading this you should either change your view on Islam or things is critical in your situation. (This is not me making a Takfeer (arabic term) (Tekfir in turkish), this is merely stating a mistake being made by weak Muslims and mostly (sadly) kemalists).

Flippin heck, i'm not arguing that there haven't been great turkick empires/warriors, battles. The point is the longest lasting and most successful were the empires which had Islam. Fact.

I bet Ataturk would have understood my point. Nationalism to a degree is good, but ultra nationalism is not, you won't have muchinfluence elsewhere if you are ultra nationalists. Turks are destined for greatness but only as muslims, chp won't do you any good. AKP not only has the support of the majority of Turks but 99.9% of the muslim population of the world, bring in chp or others who can't accept islam and your support will diminish. In fact pacts would be developed to tackle the turk influence in certain areas.

If differences dont matter, why would Allahu Teala created humans, animals, trees with differences? There are certainly differences, whether black/white, or long/short, or beautiful/ugly, or Chinese/European...
