4 helicopters flew well inside Pakistan. 2 landed in a refueling point and were there for 2 hours +. Two more choppers flew in to Abbottabad. Killed Osama. One crashed. The refueling chopper flew into Abbottabad . They flew back to the refueling point!!!
And then 3 choppers flew back to AFG.


So many shocking details in this article, please take the time and read.

Meanwhile, Englen’s lone Chinook on its way back was engaged three times by a Pakistani F-16. Because he’d anticipated and planned for that, he was able to defeat and evade the fighter jet.

“It was as an electronic fight. A missile never left the rail. So I was able to evade him electronically. That’s all I’ll say. But, he was searching and hunting for me, and three times came very close to actually launching a missile,” Englen said.

He'd done that before with other fighter jets on other missions.

"That's why we were picked for this mission. And, I was one of the few who trained 160th crews how to do that," he added.

Regardless, they were still jinking and jiving, flying nap-of-the-earth.

Just to put through your thick skull, F-16 needs a clearance to shoot down something. F-16 didn't shoot down a chinhook because it was never given a clearance

Instead of blindly making biased observations, sometimes making common sense observations would do you good.

You're not a technical expert to make a claim that Chinhook defeated F-16 3 times. Remember How your Indian Mi-17 Couldn't evade a SAM missile ? Yup thats what it looks like when you have trigger happy, undisciplined officers with judgment and analytical skills like you in cockpit or in situation to make decisions to fire a missile.

Or the permission to kill chinhook never came from Ground Control. IF F-16 was close enough to kill him, it meant he had a lock on helicopter.

So what happened to the stealth helicopter that crashed in Pakistan during the mission and the wreckage was retrieved by Pakistan Army. Is it still a secret project? After that particular event there has been no news, picture or any other indication that the stealth helicopter ever existed. Was the wreckage a plant, if yes, why?

Imagine PAF get alert , the moment Indian plane reach 40 miles border radius. Obviously, path was cleared by someone for this operation. Living in Kakul area and not knowing by army, hard to digest. But, it is Pak-US joint operation. Seems Pak wanted US to take out Osama to close this chapter forever. Before Osama presence create some huge problem for Pakistan.
May be those F16 escorted the helicopter. So, do there job in agreed flight path and leave.

Does this not go against the original narrative that F-16s were initially scrambled late ?? These stories keep changing. Not to mention, the Viper could have easily gunned him down had he been given the order. Also weird to scramble jets from Sargodha which is so far away, compared to Kamra (a lot closer to Abbotabbad) which had fighters capable of getting scrambled.

Yet, hats off to them, whether they had assistance or not, pulling a raid like this is nuts.

Nothing can be shot down without getting clearance. That's how things work there. Pilots are not allowed to engage if not given the green light.

It can be pilot memoir , but it seems more like Pak army and US govt joint operation. Imagine all radars were down in the path of helicopter. Non detection of helicopter or no visual contact accounts etc etc ....Pak radar network is combo of US,China and may be British equipment. ... @Signalian

PAF shot one down and were then probably ordered to stand down from further attacks.
