What's new

Obama's decision to visit India, not Pakistan, in the interest of all three countries: US!

not true at all. the chinese have been projected as 'all weather friends' within Pakistan. even though we give you lot more money and material as aid US has been projected as the bad 'west'. more importantly the jihadi outfits that will mount attacks within Pakistan know that their state sponsors in ISI et al need to keep Chinese happy as the 'only friend' left and care a lot less about the US leaders.

therefore a chinese premier visit, if it happens, is not the same as US leader visit from terrorist risk perception.

Kerry did visit recently didn't he?

Most Pakistanis did not care about visit of US president as they knew this was bound to happen as they have seen US policy in the region, also providing aid is not enough to be an ally or strategic partner, China don't provide us aid but all our industry is due to Chinese help, they never give us aid, they gave us projects which allow us to stand on our feet as the aid only make us beggar and keep dependent on US.

Did US even gave Pakistan tech to overhaul F-16s?? China gave us joint ventures and access to tech which US never gave. Whatever they learn in tech if Pakistan want it they gave access to that tech, US never allowed that even to there 20 year old tech.

Basel.

I would rather take the technology from usa anyday over the chinease. technology

ie f16 all day over thunders etc.

You just don't get the point i.e west is only selling stuff and don't allow us tech to maintain them, and China provide it with TOT and teach us how to built. West don't want Pakistan to stand on its feet by become self reliant while China want Pakistan to be less dependent on other and self reliant although their tech is may be 20 years older then west's but its still effective in subcontinent and sanction proof.

The reason JF-17 is not advance like F-16 block-52 is that PAF wanted a low cost fighter with 70% to 80% capability of F-16 block-50/52. If you read history you will know today JF-17 stands where F-16 was in its initial days of production and PAF may take same route to upgrade JF-17 from light weight to medium weight 4.5 gen fighter but it will take time because PAF is low on funds and there priority is to replace aging fleet ASAP.

and have you looked at what all we gave you? really.
and you'd have gotten lot more if not for the double-cross

I don't suppose you actually believe any part of your poorly typed out sentence? The US was never going to 'significantly' arm Pakistan, diplomacy or the lack of it. Hence, Pakistan's strategic-reorientation and being favourably disposed towards China. It's a good move, given China is the 'big boss' of Asia.

It is evident, the 'western democracies' have made a concerted, tenacious effort, in proactively laying the foundation for india to exert her 'dominance' in Asia (and i use that term loosely), which mind you, is also the source of india's newly found 'confidence'. It is pertinent to mention, such a cynical power-reorientation will usher in a paradigm-shift, undoubtedly destabilising Asia 'across the board' and will ultimately pave the way for much war and conflict. Moreover, this bane-policy will likely act as a catalyst for Asian countries to be at loggerheads, all galvanised in tussling for supremacy, whilst disdaining the added connotation of nuclear weapons, potentially being employed. Again the age-old imperial policy of 'divide and rule' coming to the fore, in the form of a fragmented Asia, ultimately the one and only beneficiaries being the 'western democracies'. India is merely a pawn, China remains the stumbling block.

Indian will be pawn only if it means benefits for the country.

Otherwise Indians have rejected USA on many issues like Iran Russia and no boots in Afghanistan.

Indian interests first always

Remember India is on it's feet

now you are incoherent, probably because you are getting emotional. for a person who started with 'pakistanis don't care musch about Obama's visit to India', you do seem emotionally hurt that he is ignoring Pakistan or to be more precise, he is ignoring Pakistan and making deals in India. Anyway that is your baggage to carry and as I said upfront, Pakistan is paying for the double cross.

BTW you don't seem knowledgeable about China India relationship as well. China is competing for better relationship with India bot for business as well as to deal with strategic risk associated with India becoming a close US partner. They have seen the implications of US-India-Japan surrounding them not only economically (whereby the $ assets China has accumulated become useless) but also geo-politically. They are very keen to get closer to India than Japan is trying to. You may look at what Xi said today at China ready to take partnership with India to higher level: Xi | idrw.org

Well Jit, first of all, do not misquote me, i would not say those words "Pakistani's don't care much about the Obama visit". It is a development that most are paying 'hawkesque' attention to. Well clearly you read over my post in cursory fashion, therefore neither was it thorough, nor well quoted.

Secondly, the Chinese and the indians have always engaged each other well in the trade and economics 'spectrum', but the focal point/main point of contention remains, whether the former would supply the latter, with a significant level of military hardware. I have my reservations, as do most. Therefore, the link you have appropriately attatched, does not cease to amaze me. It is evident, India and China are not 'strategic partners', with the 'western democracies' making a clear-concerted effort in pumping india against it's neighbour and with the indians proclaiming/professing about 'overtaking' China, establishing a 'monopoly' over Asia, it would/does not sit well with your counterparts. China has cordial-strategic-relations with Russia, Pakistan and have recently established a rapport with the South Koreans. In sight of this admission, it does not need india in anyway shape or form, additionally, it dwarfs india both economically and militarily.

You gave us corruption via aid and chaos, in return you use us to full extent where other super power become our enemy.

all I can say is Xi Jinping as premier leader of China ought to be more credible on matters related to China than you.

.
So can we expect any major defence deals? Any major investment deal? Any nuclear-reactor deal? Any resolution to the indian-China- Kashmir issue?, I guess not.

are you asking about India China deals? no, the two can make friends for little things, nothing serious by way of trade, just to maintain friendship.

China is keen on that to prevent Indo-Japan becoming too tight (example, the moment Japan announced bullet train for India, China within a week offered it at 2/3 the price). India is keen on maintain a facade of friendship with China to stop any really serious Sino-Pak deal making...and perhaps to stop a veto for UNSC.

Nobody in India or China care about border issues other than for newspaper optics

.
Think other way around...Whenever US president visit alone to Pakistan....then he will visit alone...That is how even Pakistan will treated as a distinct nation with its own terms rather than a party competing with India...And any way, this is a bogus media sensation.Obama and its visit to India is much about hype rather than any substance...Nothing has been acheived with this visit apart from the good will only...
