Yes, Khyber is perfect tooWell said, I am not fond of the name either, its just too long. I liked your logic on the name being Afghania as it was listed in the original demand for Pakistan, but i would still be happy if they reduced the name to just "Khyber"
I am trying to find info on how it got the name Hazara, i still sometimes get confused on the place Hazara to Hazara the people.
My family is from Swabi as well, are you Yousafzai too?
He actually does have comprehension issue, he once went bonkers on me about how middle-east is the oldest civilization and all CAS people are equal to animals because they are nomads, when my post was about area names.
I assume he means the people not the people from the placePlease do not generalize. I am from Hazara.
Thanks that's intresting to hear. But I agree with @Imad.Khan, should be something short and sweet. To me the name doesn’t matter.
I was not onboard but didn’t hated the decision.
So is JUI , MQM, PPP, PMLN, and elements in PTI.
School ki ganti hy kia jo hr class ky baad bajy ge ? Ya desposible glass hy ky hr use ky bad change kro ?
No it doesn’t. What you have to say about Punjab(i), Sindh(i), Baluch(istan)... ?? Seems we all are different then and everyone is a less Pakistani . No ?
NWFP was not a name... its like when someone ask “bhai ye naai ki dukan kidhr h ?” And he says “Yahan se Left pe das qadm” and you name the Naai shop “YSLPDQ”. Does it make sense ? KP is more of representation of the people and land... Khyber(land)-Pakhtoonkhwa(People)....
Your choice.
Let us rename claifornia to “Iqbalabad” for them and see how they react.
Bhai had a thought... let him discuss it so that it do not bother him in future.
Many MPA’s from hazara voted in favor of this decision. Dont remember the exact mumber but it was a good number of MPA’s.
I guess people got killed after they burn down cantt police station. Now i am not sure which incident happen before but since after that day there is no “demand” for a separate province in hazara except that single baba.
Split the country im divisions and name them
Division A
Division B
Division C
Division D
For all we care
Gandhara is sweet and short too.The KPK/NWFP province should be named "Gandhara" which was its name until 1000 AD.
Germany's area is same as Balochistan province of Pakistan, but Germany has 16 provinces each called "Bundesland" in german language which means "Federal State" in english. Every province/bundesland has its own provincial parliament and elected "chief minister" called "Ministerpräsident". So it is wrong to generalize that "european" countries have no provinces. In fact all german provinces/Bundesländer have their own flags too. The only difference between Germany and Pakistan I feel is that unlike Pakistan Germany has a "proportional representation" based electoral system where parties are given seats according to their vote share in any given election, but there is a minimum threshold to enter into parliament which is to get at least 5% of the total vote share that are cast in a given election, this way the "tanga parties" that get less than 5% of the total vote shares remain outside of federal and provincial parliaments.
In a perfect government and country. The state would encourage competition between all the provinces and decide on a foreign country that, the province would need to compete with.i have a different opinion
after merger of FATA to KPK, i believe, Pakistan now have a new power house that is not Punjab and Sindh. looking at KPK as of today and looking into the future i see a future of Pakistan. yes the name KPK might not be a good one to represent the province. that aside i believe, when we are going to have Punjab divided into two provinces, for the first time Pakistan going to have 4 kind of equally sized provinces with similar wazan (urdu). this is a good sign.
future --> this will pave the way for merging GB and dividing Baluchistan into two administrative units. hence giving Pakistan 7 provinces over next 10 years.
