What's new

Now what for PAF JH7B or SU 35, but both will be a psychological edge over our adversary

I know there are some problems with SU-35, but for us, its now or never. If not SU-35, then it may be some other aircraft. But sources are very clear which are China and Russia. So, lets take things ahead, and take every measure we can.
F-35 may be a good bird, but soon aerial wars will be entering into an era of Hypersonic UAVs. Thats the reason, Russia is not investing much in maned air vehicles.
Soon news will surface about Russia and China also doing things like that. DARPA has already tested many.
Pakistan can at least develop Hypersonic missile systems.

How will be that if we procure GRIPEN E aircraft from SWEDEN and is called SU-35 hunter.....

The Rafale is not an un-beatable plane. We can handle it. I would personally go for the F-16 block 60 to counter the Rafale, it seems like our best option. Or we could try get the F-15.

Hmmm but you are talking like only for 16 block 52 will beat Rafale... lolz... stop assumptions.. and silly argument about pilot.. bring spec .. then talk..

I think we should place the order 18 F-16V instead of going for 10 more Blk-52 and get 18 more second hand/EDA F-16 with V upgrade kit.

AESA upgrade on F-16s will undo any advantage Rafale has over PAF.
who will do this upgrade for us? lockheed martin? and can we do it anytime we want or there are any hurdles?

@Admin what is going out sir..this thread has reached limit the fanboys can think upto.
Pn getting aircraft carrier
Jf17 block 3 equals rafale
Analyst saying jf17 with aesa equals rafale

This was expected after indian news abt rafale but this is heights.
Plz move thread in comedy section and admin also.

Comedy channels would reject this material for its utter silliness. I am surprised the PDF lunatics have not yet invoked jinns, jet engines powered by their HEC approved water engineer, JF17 taking on 20 f35 and downing them by the superiority of their pilots etc etc etc

Its not even a child's fairyland but more like the random thoughts of babies

Was a genuine question but seems to have shaken a few feathers here so calm down folks :)

Though doubt you can call an F16 shooting down a couple of old Mig 21s or AN-32 transport airplanes as any feat.

The Afghan side were not flying any comparable planes to that what pakistan had at its disposable in a dog fight at least.

They were slated to receive Mig-29s then that you can call a fair fight.
PAF shot down Soviet 1 Su-25,1 Su-22,2 Mig-23 MLD,1 Afghan Su-22,2 Russian SU-22 all downed by F-16.I think it was a fair fight mig-23,su-25 and 22 are quite potent aircraft still used by numerous air forces from around the world.

I think Afghan pilots were pretty good in their times because they were in active combat in the 80s but again this question was a genuine query, not sure why your trolling me :)

Current Afghan pilots are young, learning new stuff and in time they will learn some of the traits of the game, remeber being a pilot is a not a superhuman feat, you just need time, experience and good toys.
Makes sense because in the time of taliban Afghan air force was almost non existent. It has been built from scratch and it is the only i think organisation of Afghanistan (i can be wrong) which works. Most ANA personnel are potheads according to most private documentaries i saw.To make ANA effective mass screening should be started to get rid of those non efficient people.
If PAF was ever intreasted in JH7s we might have seen them in service as early as 2010. PAF needed a striker to replace Mirages.
So if they haven't bought them till now they won't buy them in future also F16 is still very capable aircraft even US will have them in service for a decent period. So a mix of F16 JF 17 till 2020 and afterwards we might look for some thing may be F 31 will be best option and by 2030 we might get F 35 if we have good relations with US by than. Or may be by that time we will not need them China may have some thing batter by than.
JH-7 is obsolete if Pakistan ever needed it would have put the request forward to china it never did because the know it is potent aircraft no doubt but is old and that is what pakistan is running from.PAF always received the best of the era e.g F-86,F-16's,Mirages,F-7's they are continuing legacy the very next addition in the inventory would be newer F-16's,Jf-17's or Chinese 5th gen or Russian Su-35/Mig-35.
This is no laughing matter

Seriously SU 35 is NOT possible because of India ; It is a fact
India said the same when Pak was procuring F-16's,Mil-35 and Ah-1z all that screaming gone to waste why don't you focus on your strategic plans and stop crying like a little bit**.

In A to A combat even suggesting JH7B an option is pathetic as it is a bomb truck and even with lots of missiles and powerful radar it shall be good only for Naval attack role only, they may require escorts from other fighter jets. The agility and stealth aspects are nearly zero. If we have to choose JH7B then it is far better to re manufacture Mirage Vs. with some latest gadgets.

SU35 is good but a heavy jet and suitable for naval roles or on limited scale for deep strike missions. In order to counter Rafael we have only following options.

(1)F16V or F16 block 60 ( both are unlikely available for Pak due to Indian Lobbies/ hostile attitude of US legislatures)
2) JF17 block-III upgraded with AESA,IRST and capable EW suit alongwith next gen BVR and WVR AAms. (may be available from 2018 roughly along with delivery of Rafaels to India).
3) J10 c-d ( may be available but engine/tech problems are there needed to be addressed)
4 Mig 35 ( PAF not seems to be interested)

India is not a matter for Russia Russia wants money and we will give them so what India can do....!!

The only feasible option that im pretty sure PAF is following is waiting for J-31 to mature while continuously upgrading the JF-17 and in the meantime getting some surplus F-16s and upgrading,
Thats cost effective, gets the job done and also supports the local Industry as JF-17 is our product.

No need to induct any new Platform,
retire the Legacy fighters and Upgrade JF-17s and F-16s.

Apparently India is in discussion with Russia for building Su 35s , after the Su 30 production gets over , until pak fa enters..

We may seek much commonality with super sukhoi upgrades with this Su 35

Unless Pakistan buys any new aircraft in quantity , no new aircrafts will be introduced..

For a few aircrafts , they will only be buying what they already have.

Every one has an eye only on me..
By the way which post you don't like....

I took one look at the first post and saw the mythical unicorn that the PAF will buy soon i.e. the SU-35 and just gave up....I think the thread should be locked, and this discussion has been done to death!
