in China most super expensive machines and medical equipments were made in Germany,seems like Germans make way more big value added products than other countries.SKorean makes a lot of electronics like cellphones,TVs,DVDs..same stuff that China makes.Koreans make things that many countries can make but Germany makes a lot of super hi tech stuff that only Germans can make.

it is like that it is seen here in Europe.
the fact is that most European countries forgot industry when Germans were keeping the high quality machines
they are selling mostly in Europe then worldwide their "tool machines"

Germany is still much respected in this world, so you do not have to boast about your reseach institutions being better than South Korea, which no one can verify, just like Indian like to blah blah about their IIT being the best in the world, which no one care.
However, South Korea of today are better than Germany of today in some aspects, so I do not need to compare with West Germany 20 years ago:
- Education: their students always rank among the best in the world, along with Japan, Hong Kong, China and Finland. I do not see Germany here.
- The hi-tech infratructure in Korea is better than Germany. Most of statistics figures shows that, so do not boast if you do not have specific data.
- Their infrastructure is as good as Germany, if not better. I never been to Germany, but have been to several other western european countries, so I just guess.
- Their foreign reserve is higher than Germany now (marginally though), but surely much more than West Germany of 20 years ago, so they have more room to operate in reunification. You can be the biggest economy in the world with little money to spend, just like the US now.
- Germany may be ahead of Korea in machine tools, but behind Korea in some other hi-tech industries. You can boast that you have best institution in the world, but who know. Every country have their pride in being the world's first, the world's best etc., therefore, many self-boasting advertisement are just self-boasting. People want to believe them, because it make them feel good.

This dude is trying so hard to defend south korea idol, no doubt this is a korean' wannabe from vietnam....this type of syndrome appear popularly in vietnam these days when the viets being brainwashed by korean drama and propaganda....viets are day dreaming of become a second south korea under the commanding of the USA master. japs killed nearly 2.9 millions viets during 1945 and south korea troops in vietnam donated a massive killings on vietnamese but nowadays viets still love to flatter those bastards. China did nothing but viets are always blame bad and accuse China for invasion or bullying vietnam something which were caused by viets paranoid and hatred discrimination.

The answer is too simple: "Money talk" while we should know that vietanames have been suffering under "hungry" and "outdated" for long, they are too "wannabe" to be a second south korea or japan to please their giant ego. people are very easily to realize that the viets used to compare themselves so someone successful and genius in this world. vietnames are used to self claim they are as much wise as german or japanese with their foreign friends. viets are laughing on Chines about low IQ and slavery people and viets never accept to step on the step of Chinese, viets just want to jump an only one jump to up high to the sky to the level of eveloped nations such japan or germany, so please don't you ever bring a manufacturing businesses to vietnam, they will spit on you and never accept your cheap axx salary. viets claim they will product the most quality cars to compete with the german in the near future, viet will bring human to March before the American or Russian could reach it. China is just a low life slavering house and can be never competed with greater vietnam.
