A thoroughly corrupt system is extremely difficult to change due to just the reasons you suggest -- too many people would need to be replaced and not enough exist that are both competent and incorruptible. It may be hat only a ruthless purge such as was carried out by Stalin and Mao can change a corrupt culture quickly.
The real problem is that we dont want to trust Imran Khan, but we can trust zardari and nawaz sharif, that's a sad fact.
Real problem is different .. people don't care about country they care about them .. I am talking about entire South Asia..
In day to day life we all do corruption directly or in directly.. even when we are buying half a KG sugar at shop .. we don't ask for bill .. that is also kind of corruption .. but when we have to speak bad word about our neighboring country we do at out best and shows how much we hate other .. rather and how much we love our country ..
Common man 20% 30% consumers of electricity do cheating in bills ..another 10% do have illegal connections .. 80% businessmen don't pay tax.. as mentioned in first post 1000s of student do cheating in Exam .. .. even if in past my teacher had told me to write exam with book open nothing will happen to you .. I might thought abt it .. that is our nature... we do speak big things but we do very bad things is real life.. all our big business houses do big time corruption.. still we take proud of them.. See news corp. they shut down their 150+ year old .. one of the most successful paper in week when public and politicians put pressure on them .. how many times that happens in our countries.. See 2G scam in India .. and I am sure Pakistan will have their own version ..
We don't learn core value of our religion .. but what we do learn is core values of corruption ...
sick of it .. what IK will do when some traffic police will take money from some driver as bribe.. we need cultural revolution .. but it will not gonna life few months of chaos and done.. we need to teach out children what is correct and what is not .. instead of who is our enemy .. if we train our new generation to become better citizen then might be in remote future we will see our country as first world country ..otherwise ..
yesterday it was Jamindars .. today it is politicians tomorrow it will be some one else who will gonna do all sort of corruption and people will still search for right leader to lead them
agreed, but leaders are supposed to be like fathers of the nation, if they do bad things then a common man will do it too, for example many people dont pay taxes in Pakistan because our leaders dont pay taxes, we are suppose to follow them but they are corrupt.
I have no idea how dishonest Pakistanis are in Pakistan but I do know that one of the most honest people I ever met was a Pakistani engineering student who elected to return to the U.S. for his masters degree. He just couldn't stand the power of the drug lords at home, he said. The Pakistani diplomats next door also elected to become Bangladeshis in 1971 rather than retain allegiance to a regime that violated its own people to remain in power.About half of the students in Pakistani colleges cheat. Once they graduate many go on to become (mostly corrupt) junior government officers...Is Pakistan always dishonest people in our bloods ?
i can just say every nation got good and bad people and some people donot represent nation.you can be critical in thinking you can see everyone as corrupt but you cant see abdul sattar edhi who runs edhi foundation all over pakistan with tens of thousands of free ambulances from his pocket and peoples charity.remember the amount of corruption is half the amount of charity which the people of pakistan gives pakistani nation is number 1 on list of nations with amount of charity if you make the system proper you can earn the trust of the nation by showing them the benifiits on thround even in ten days by just taking these steps
1 establishing free telephones hotlines and local offices with cctv and voice recording monitoring system for complaints of people anout any police or govt officer or any other govt agency.this will make more jobs
2 Installing a centralized cctv and voice recording in all the police stations and all the police stations connected with sharing data and all stations monitored by another govenment agency.making more jobs
3 Installing cctv cameras and voice recording in all courts with a seperate public judical inquiry agency who can monitor courts and gives its report and the court proceeding recording to the supreme court to give its verdict.this will make more jobs
4 Putting cctv in all the hotspots of violence with a high magnification software to identify suspects and connecting it to monitoring centers and Police and NADRA.more jobs
5 revenue and independant inevsting agency with same cctv and voice recording all over.more jobs
6 Making a seperate forign policy making super high way between karachi and china border with one branch going to afghan border the other going to iran border and gawadar interconnecting the four nations for trade to take place.making more revenue
7 inviting chinese oil companies to look for oil and gas all over pakistan.
8 make a state owned company for mining and oil exploration reporting its progress monthly to prime minister and kept record of it for parliment for funding for projects. it will create more jobs and much more revenue.
9 make more hospitals with revenue generated from excess oil and other minerals.
10 make an underground national gold reserve with state of the art monitoring systems and under the protection of elite force so this reserve should be filled up locally mined gold.this will make our economy strong as a rock and our dependacy on foreign currencies as we will have enough gold to back our rupee.
11 invite chinas electricity generating companies to look for suitible sites for constructing mega projects like dams irrigation by doing this there will no bickering inbetween the parties and provineces and other actors.this will create a massive upsurge in electricity prodution but till these projects are connected to the national grid pakistan should meet its demand by importing from iran.this will create more jobs 1000s of them
these are some of the things not all of them which can make our country change course within months
This is general thinking of imran khans independant party worker like me
et al.
Imran khan will never come into power until he compromises a little. The veteran siyasatdaan wont let him-
i love IK parody....
No honest people in Pakistan
This is with reference to Rasul Baksh Rais’s article of July 14 titled, “Kaptaan, the country’s most popular leader”.
Imran Khan reminds me of the sons of textile tycoons who go to America for studies and come back empty-handed, either with a basic undergraduate degree and sometimes not even that. They do, however, return with a good English language accent. Their parents help them set up industries to run and most of them fail. And when these companies default, they always blame everything/one else but themselves.
Imran Khan says he will end corruption in 100 days if he comes to power. Most of the corruption in Pakistan, contrary to popular perception, exists at the lower levels. About half of the students in Pakistani colleges cheat. Once they graduate many go on to become (mostly corrupt) junior government officers. Almost all policemen in Pakistan take bribes. So do most Pakistani tax and customs officials. So do the people in the army responsible for procurement. Look at the prices Pakistan paid for F-16s and French military equipment, and look at the prices Taiwan paid for similar planes and equipment.
Many of the Frontier Corps junior officers managing our checkposts allow drug smugglers to pass from Afghanistan to Pakistan, and of course this is done in exchange for money. Our Supreme Court is excellent and perhaps the one good thing we have left. But the lower courts are in a shambles and people have to wait for years for their cases to reach an end. Our city and municipal services officials responsible for things like road building, drainage and water works are generally corrupt, as are those who serve in Wapda and Pakistan Railways. The list can go and on but I hope readers get what I am saying.
Where would Imran Khan get not only qualified people to replace these corrupt people, but also people who are honest? They simply don’t exist.
Imran is loved by our urban youth, mostly young men with limited knowledge, who want power. They think they can run the country with someone like him at its helm but they have no experience of such things. Right now, Imran Khan has no economic team and does not have a sizeable number of honest and seasoned politicians with him, despite being in politics for over a decade.
Is Pakistan always dishonest people in our bloods ?
We should give doses of Islamism it will work better1)The best way to eliminate the corruption is implementation of shariah.(quick and cheap justice)
2)we have to change our education system.and should start giving doses of nationalism to children up to high school.
