National Anthem Replaces Calls to Prayer for Hui Muslims

Are you by any chance using a Mandarin to English translator to respond?- This is a genuine question.

And yes "my English suck":dance3:

I dont know what Molawcha is!- The only reason I asked about the translator was because your message comes out as very aggressive- Thats why I asked-(People might mis-interpret what you are trying to say)- It was really a genuine question.

CCP China has never made a secret of its policy in this regard and has been very clear. They will not tolerate any risk of religion becoming a grouping threat to their authority.

Any symbol around which people can rally around, unless it is a CCP sponsored symbol such as cute panda, great leader etc., can become a threat.

It is therefore not a surprise that mosques are smashed, Uighurs are interned for rectification from islam etc; but it is not just Islam or just religious - even books, websites, works of art ...anything that is not laudatory of CCP agenda is kaput.

@jamahir renovations right?

In my understanding of Muslim belief, a mosque serves the function of bringing together people for prayer in the same place. A mosque is basically a uniting place where social hierarchy is ignored and the prayer is conducted in unison.

This is unlike say Hindu belief where a temple holds the living presence of a God and like in the Tirupati temple in Southern India a higher amount of money payment gets an individual or a family an earlier sighting of the idol and more time in prayer. VIP treatment of some devotees for higher money or higher social status.

Islam is a more democratic system and this is what a mosque or an eidgah serves the purpose for. Prayer can be done at home too. In some other thread I read the post of two Pakistani members saying that the Messenger Muhammad used to pray at his home and he prayed in a cave too.

Though I must point out that I somehow don't like the East Asian style of architecture and the attempts to Sinicize the mosques in China.

Also, for those Muslims who are habituated to five-time prayer why can't azaan SMSes be sent out instead of the azaan over loudspeaker ?? It would serve the same purpose, yes ?? This would be also ideal in a place like India which generally is not a quiet place at all and governments for various cultural reasons find it difficult to enforce sound discipline on people. Azaan by SMS would also bring good-will towards Indian Muslims from other communities who themselves would then be more encouraged to reduce their own cultural noise.
