Muslims are what 30-35% of South Asia?, India alone for the longest time in it's 75 y/o history had a bigger Muslim population than both pakistan and Bangladesh - vast majority of the Muslim institutions in diaspora are made up of mostly South Asian Muslims from university Muslim student unions to philanthropic organizations to mosques hell most/good chunk of the Muslim political leaders in western countries are South Asians

And India is the biggest country in south Asia, even though South Asian Muslims are divided into 4 countries
What happens in India, or how Indians think, behave, feel towards Muslims have implication on all of South Asian Muslims in many ways than not even in different countries named not India

China and India are not the same thing as, Chinese Muslims don't have the kinda muscle, population of the south Asian Muslims, so it'll never be the same thing- it's delusional to think along those lines

India can't be China, y'all have to reconcile and recognize Muslims as partners, Jr or Sr or equal that depends on how powerful Muslim become

But partners nonetheless or else in the long run the region won't work

comparison between China and india is stupid IMHO dude, your circumstances are VERY different, Muslims are not a insignificant group in India like they're in China and if you add the dynamics of the region at large not just the nation of India it makes my point even stronger

I dont understand why this Hui identity become such a sacred cow. Lots of Hui are non religious, worship ancestor, adhere to Confucian, rarely go to mosque. They got this identity because it happens that a Han marries a Hui women and being minority, there are preferential treatment. (shows that minorities are treated like King in China)
