Something like this, but this looks like a bread, those kulchays i am talking about are hard and crispy, we break them up and then mix with tea and eat with a spoon!
@Armstrong might know what I am talking about, he is Kashmiri.

This is the one...exact thing. And the one that I know...the one which you posted looks kind of fancy!

Yaar Karachi Kulchay are like Naan type, but top is like the Kashmiri Kulchay i think!

ARay bhayyia, Aap toKarachi Kay bhai log hain, hum to kabhi Karachi nhn ghoomay... humain to bas isi kulchay ka pata hai i.e Kashmiri kulcha.

I do know what you're talking about but I too have forgotten what is called but yes its hard, crunchy & it looks like a mini naan meets an apple-pie crust without the filing of course ! I dunno whether its called a Khataiii or Phioniyaaan or something else...!

Khatayi is different, shape is same as a kulcha, but it is more whiter than a kulcha , a kulcha is more golden.
Secondly khatayi is softer and tastes more sweeter than a kulcha. It also has a more powdery texture.

Phinoyiaan is completely different,

Have you visited Northern areas?
Yeh sub Abbottabad aur Murree say bhi mil jata hai, For the true experience though gotta go to Muzzaffarabad and beyond ... Kotli, Rawlakot, Badakot waghaira.

Maybe you can promote PDF there ! :P

It's not kulcha, kulcha is something same as naan thick though and no mixture of white flour but pure brown flour from cereal grains really healthy.

lol i thought you are talking about amrasay sweet and crispy.

i have eaten kulchas of Muzzafrabad.. They are prety famous their. I think they r called BAKAR khanis

Amrassay of kasur are very famous

I think you people call it Kashmiri kulchay ... we have always referred to it as Kulcha, we ask the shopkeeper and he gives us the right thing.

May be the naan type thing you folks are referring to is Bakar khani. ?
