Yeah you are absolutely correct. But I didn't have nans, except for some reheatable cardboard naans I got from Indian store.

Yeah they are pretty bad... With Indian stores, try out their parathas, especially the Malbari kind. Indians can't make a good naan if their life depended on it. Mallu paratha is their staple food, so even the frozen kind is good enough.

lol that's the first thing I noticed! If I can, I put chick peas in everything.

I even put them in keema, which everyone thinks is weird. Ghar walay don't let me cook, because they know 50% chances are that I will make something with chick peas.

But your recipe's end product looks so much better than mine...

I don't eat them with chawal, either naan or khaali bhi.

I have to be honest. I've tried this dish 10 times.

This time I was on the phone with my mom and got every detail. That's why it came out nice. And man when I ate it. Subhanallah!

Are there any Indian naan stores in DUbai?

I never seen one. BTW, Naans from karachi darbar are pretty nice as well...there are a couple of shops in Nahda area that make pretty killer naans (roghni)!

Dude, you do get them! Dubai is good... Well actually Sharjah... Goto the Pakistani market, near rolla. Wahan Naseeb bakery hai, try out anything from them its great. But I recommend their Roghni naan. Munasib daam bhi hai, AED 2/per roghni naan. AED 1 normal naan.

We have some friends who go every weekend to Rolla to get Halwa Puri and all that stuff in the morning!!!

Guess we are just too lazy!

Will check it out some day though.
