Are there any Indian naan stores in DUbai?
All stores are Indian stores in Dubai :D

But I was talking about the US.

I never seen one. BTW, Naans from karachi darbar are pretty nice as well...there are a couple of shops in Nahda area that make pretty killer naans (roghni)!

Karachi Darbar? Blasphemy!!!

Lol Ok tandoori roti is just fine, but KDR has become now more of an Indian restaurant. Yeah Nahda is fine, which shop you talking about in particular, aaj hi try karoonga, its much closer than rolla, but I'm telling you the rolla stuff is as good as anything in Pakistan.

It's a whole Pakistani market there. Pakistani bakery, Pakistani grocery stores, Pakistani meat shops...

I have to be honest. I've tried this dish 10 times.

This time I was on the phone with my mom and got every detail. That's why it came out nice. And man when I ate it. Subhanallah!

Mere hath may jo masla ata hai may thora add krti hun

Yar ab Rolla kaun jaye...

We have some friends who go every weekend to Rolla to get Halwa Puri and all that stuff in the morning!!!

Guess we are just too lazy!:hang2:

Will check it out some day though.

Oh yeah that Halwa puri stuff is awesome too...

I go there now and then for it too. Nowadays its too crowded to sit there and eat, I just pack it up and bring it home. But if you sit there, you have the added option of sipping some Kashmiri Chai afterwards.

Quite hot to do it now... But a must try experience.

Rolla just feels like its far... There is traffic but its always moving, over all its a doable experience.

Hey guys, I know you will understand when I say this.

Every man's halwa purri place is different.

But god damn, I miss my halwa purri place so much. It hurts.

I'm not a breakfast guy, but when I had halwa purri in Pakistan...

By god you can understand my frustrations here in the US, You guys don't know how good you got it.

O yar Rolla to hai hi Pakistan poora...well Sharjah is Pakistan to be precise!!!

The cooks at Karachi Darbar are still Pakistani, most of them, Ravi is also Pakistani.

There is one Karachi Darbar in Nahda....while coming from Sharjah to Dubai on SHaikh Zayed road, you take a left from Mullah Plaza, go straight along the metro line...and eventually a KD will come to your left (a bit fancy on the outside)...there naans are good, but there is a naan shop of a pathan just beside it, small place, those are also good naans.

Then there is a Karachi Darbar near NMC hospital, those Naans are the best IMO, they changed the tandoorwala sometimes back, and the naans became shyte, but now it's good.

BBQ delite in Jumeirah area also has good nans.

Rolla is too congested, and traffic is horrible. SUddenly a 4 lane road becomes 3 and then 2 lane road....bauhaut ghussa charhta hai!

Speaking of Halwa Puri...any Lahori here? There's quite a famous breakfast shop in defence known as Dogar's...anybody visited?

Rolla just feels like its far... There is traffic but its always moving, over all its a doable experience.

If you don't mind, where do you live....? Nahda/mamzar area or Deira and across?

Doob maro.

Kulchay are exclusively Punjabi thing... Basically till walay roghni naan... For some reason you only get them at breakfast time.

Either dip them in Chai or have them with Chikkar Cholay...

:what:

Are we on the same page?

The kulcha I am talking about is a small round biscuit type thing, crispy, nothing like a naan or roghni naan...
