But i appreciate Iran for strict policy viz a viz Afghan refugees primarily limiting them to Camps as compared to Pakistan were we had been a bad bad free-easygoing policy

Afghans have been only banned to stay permanently in the border regions, the same law, more or less, applies to iraqi refugees as well. Reasons are very clear: avoiding future land claiming issues in these regions, and reducing the drug transit.
The situation has been the same from a long time ago, only some afghans have lived in camps since they could not afford to live in cities and they needed some time to get along with the society. Their problems are currently having access to free education as many Iranian do, and getting long term visas instead of short term ones and the related immigration policies discussions. in which they are supported by many Iranian NGOs inside Iran, to receive better conditions. I am personally even a fan of giving citizenship to the ones who have lived in our country for a long time, and to their children. Sorry, but I cannot see any reason to be tough on afghans, besides the drug transit issue.

Of course it applies to Afghan Refugees as it does to every Muslim but how does that even in the remotest sense imply that asking the Afghan Refugees to return to Afghanistan is a nullification of the Two Nation Theory when the theory itself isn't in the least bit related to ethnic or geographic identification of any kind which is to say that it doesn't mean that Muslims are One Country but that they have a unique existence due to their sense of a Collective Consciousness in reference to the many paradigms that they've come up with ?

I'd say it one more time just so I don't need to keep 'repeating it' - Two Nation Theory, as I understand it to be, refers to the separate, identifiable existence of Muslims as an Entity with a set of unique paradigms that may or may not be institutionalized or developed should they wish it as such; it has, however, nothing to do whatsoever with Nationality or Citizenship just as Socialism or Secularism have nothing to do with either of them !

Not all Afghans are working as stateless garbage pickers in Pakistan and portraying them as such completely washes aside the 3 decades worth of compromise that we have had to deal with to allow the Afghans to prosper, even at our own expense.

1) A number of Afghans have opted for Pakistani citizenship and many would be surprised to learn that I have served with young officers with immigrant parents from Afghanistan and Kyrgyztan.

2) A number of Afghan families are very successful business holders, any one who has visited the Carpet and Handicraft shops in Super Market Islamabad or has gone to Karkhano Market or Shubba in Peshawar will have a faint idea about the sheer wealth at these Afghan's disposal.

3) Hayyatabad in Peshawar, among the most posh areas in the city has an overwhelming Afghan population.

4) Much of the wealth stated above has been legit but there is also the category that smuggles arms and drugs into Pakistan from their family and friends in Afghanistan and have evolved into local warlords with small private armies to guard their interests and business. Khyber "Phatak" Bazar in Khyber Agency and main Landikotal are good examples.

Served with loads of Kashmiris but never asked them when (and if) their parents crossed over. Finding an Afghan was a surprise and I mistook the Kyrgyz for a Hazara during much of my time with him. Only much later when I asked him if he has any family left in Quetta did he say, "Sir main Quetta say nahi hun" and then I learnt his parents had migrated from Kyrgyztan.

There's plenty of interesting characters, there are some Bengalis who stayed back after 71, their kids are now serving and there are Sheedis, Pakistani-Africans.
