Factually speaking it is true. Just too many British-Paks have been locked up over this crime. In fact I know somebody who has gone down for this sick crime. So let's not fudge this. This is a dispicable crime perpetrated by animals.

With that caveat out of the way let me give you the context. In Philipines adjacent to US Navy base there was widespread prostitution with many victime being underage. The perpetrators were almost always Americans and the victims Filipino girls. But you could not draw from this that the American's were selecting Filipino girls. It was the circumstances. Young American males, repressed sexually, relatively better off then the Filipino girls who came from very poor backgrounds. Vulnerabilty meets the right conditions created the sexual abuse of young girls.

With referance to Pakistani's if you look at the perpetrators most are working in the night time economy. Taxi drivers, fast food joints, 24 hour convenience stores. In many areas of Britain we have huge council estates which are dumping grounds for the underclass. Broken families, drunken parents or drug addicted problem families. Many of the girls are from care homes. They tend to be wild, promiscous and many with drinking/drug problems. These type gather around in the evenings around the high streets with those night time establishments aas mentioned earlier. This is where vulnersability converges with the demograhic that takes advantage of the situation. As most of the texi drivers and late night workers smoke weed that becomes a catalyst. The guys then start giving them weed and the girls start gravitating around these establishments. Next thing the entire taxi stand joins in. Then of course at some point the whole thing blowes up and you find 10 guys go down.

I am not trying to reduce the crime but explaining the sociological aetiology behind it.

Exactly...not condoning the crimes but the victims are usually the down trodden and unlooked after. One does not see middle class British girls from stable families becoming their victims.

I think that a part of combating this crime must involve improving family stability....when a predator scans the horizon he looks for the weakest prey..make the potential prey stong(er).

US Pakistanis were not "economic migrants" per se until the mid 90's after the MQM operation where the enmasse "invasion" occurred. Most US Pakistanis were educational immigrants who went on to have good successful careers and businesses. Whereas the UK had an influx of economic and criminal migrants who came from already impoverished and backward areas of Pakistan and never ditched their culture or mentality.

That's true...there are still a lot of Pakistanis in UK who are illiterate and cannot speak proper English.

“There could be – I’m not saying that there are – there could be some cultural reasons from the communities that these men came from that could lead to this kind of behaviour,” Javid said.

The home secretary has called for research into the “characteristics and contexts” of gangs abusing children, arguing that ignoring issues such as ethnicity is more likely to fuel the far-right.

In 2013, CEOP published a study looking at “contact sexual offending against children by non-related adults”. They found that there are two types of group-based abuse.

• “Type 1” group abuse involves targeting a victim, or victims, based on their vulnerability.
• “Type 2” group abusers are defined as having “a longstanding sexual interest in children”.

“The focus here appears to be on the sexual abuse of teenagers and young adults on the basis of their vulnerability, rather than as a result of a specific preferential sexual interest in children […] CEOP assesses that type 1 offenders are unlikely to identify themselves as having a sexual interest in children, but molest children because they are vulnerable to sexual exploitation.”

Type 2 groups operate in a way that’s often characterised as a paedophile “ring”. In other words, these offenders are not simply targeting children because they are vulnerable, but because they are children.

It reports on a sample of 57 cases of Type 1 group abuse in 2012, and police provided ethnicity data on 52 of these. Half of those Type 1 cases involved all-Asian groups. 21 per cent were all-white groups, and 17 per cent were groups containing multiple ethnicities.

There was a sample of 6 cases of Type 2 group abuse in 2012, and police provided ethnicity data.

100 per cent of recorded Type 2 group offenders, who abuse children because of long-standing paedophilic interest, are white.

Now compare this small subset of a small sample of a data base, to national statistics.

Finally. The demography that falls victim to the Pakistani's would not in absence of said grooming turned in nuns. As mentioned they tend to be wild and promiscous. They don't particulary care if the guy who 'lays' them is 15,25,35,45 as long as they get drink, money, drugs and 'good time'. This has always been happening but the real axe in this all is the race element. The guys are all Pakistani. That is the cause why this issue has become big.
