Most in China Call Their Nation A Democracy, Most in U.S. Say America Isn't

Well, the value for real democracy is the check and balance system. Government is ALWAYS going to be the authority, which mean there aren't really places for People in the decision making process, however, the process have to be open and public, so that it can be balanced by the people. Policy were not made for the people, but the people have the power to choose its government.

As for whether or not Democracy is important or as you put it, what people "Want". That's is going to be more oblique, because that's really depends on population base, say for US to go to dictatorship is almost certainly impossible as the check and balance system is too entrenched to the population base. It's almost certainly will turn into civil revoke if we look at how unpopular policy ends up in the last 200 years of US history. On the other hand, can China become democratic? Again that depends on the population, if the population wanted they can, but if they don't care, then it just wouldn't
Will China become democratic? Why should they? My question is "Is becoming a democratic country is necessary to China?"

.
The OP article is about China and US, not your state and my city or your village or your neighborhood, you and keep arguing and narrowing it down and claim your bothroom has more democracy than my bathroom, but that's rather stupid.

You are just being the usual elusive.

I already have given specific examples from both Federal and State and you have shown ZERO.

All you want to do is argue that my specific examples are somehow not valid compared to your general ones yet you can't even show any evidence of specific ones of your own...other than "the people wanted this"

Ok the people in the US when it was founded said they didn't want to be like the poor country of China and the US Government came through. The people said they wanted houses instead of apartments in cities and it was done. The people said they wanted roads so they can drive from state to state in cars..and it was done. The people said they wanted to see at night..so the Government installed gas lighting. The people said they wanted electricity in homes...and the government had it done. The people said wanted to fly in planes..and the government had it done.

Things like this happen all over the world BTW even in the harshest dictatorships. That doesn't suddenly mean the dictatorship is more of a Democracy.

What zero? I listed public woes that were fixed or improved by the government, and asked about yours and you provided ZERO, as for how many new laws and rules were made based on public appeals, so many of them and China has people's congress every spring and makes and amends so many new laws, but that's not what I care, I don't care words, I care about what really happens on the ground, China fixes issues but US is all empty talks, no major issues have ever been fixed or even eased.

So does the Saudi King but that doesn't make the Saudi Government more of a democracy.

I've listed items that have been fixed. You unfortunately keep thinking they somehow fall under the jurisdiction of the federal government..but they don't. You are too thick to comprehend that even when I try and explain it to you.

Most local issues fall under the jurisdiction of STATE governments.

You: Why doesnt the US government fix gun crime
Me: Gun control falls mostly under State level laws. Here are my state laws. They have sent gun crime to the lowest level.
You: What about the US government?
Me: What about them?
You: What are they doing?
Me: They don't handle that.

I lived in US and how know how "fast" they fix thing or get anything done, almost never, the worst public woes in the past had been almost all fixed or greatly improved, you've been living under a rock for too long, you should at least travel a bit to see the real world, it's changing very fast.

Unfortunately you lived in complete ignorance and your mind is very forgetful as I have explained all of this multiple times to you in previous threads..and here I am explaining it to you again.

You should think of the US Federal Government just the the EU Body.

It's like you asking the EU to fix something like a gun issue in Italy and when I say the EU doesn't handle things like that and it is more under the control of the leader of Italy..you can't seem to comprehend it no matter how many times I try to explain it to you.

You: Why doesn't the US Government fix the gun issue
Me: This is a state issue that is handled locally.

converted
You: Why doesn't the EU fix the gun issue in Europe
Me: This is really a country issue that is handled by their local laws.
You: I'm don't understand this concept.
You: Why doesn't the EU fix the gun issue in Europe?
Me: Well Italy has gun rules and so does Germany and some are better than others. My country has the lowest rate in the EU because the people asked the government to enact stricter laws. However in neighboring countries the people have weaker laws.

You: Why are you talking at the country level about Democracy? I'm talking about the EU level!!!!!!
Me: What??? How are country governments less of a democracy than the EU body? They make most of the local laws not the EU.
You: Stop talking about countries like Italy!! I'm talking about the EU when it comes to gun control.
Me: You are hopeless.

Every few months we have this same thread.
You keep saying why doesn't the US Federal Government do something about an issue and when I say it is out of their jurisdiction you can't comprehend it no matter how hard I try and explain it to you.

You: Homelessness is bad in the EU..and the EU should fix it.
Me: Homelessness is definitely bad in some countries and their local leaders should fix it.
You: Why are talking about countries again..the EU should fix it!!
Me: This is really a country issue that is handled by their local laws.

I m talking about how a government responds to public woes and how quickly they can fixed the problems, as for democracy, it's very obvious from OP article that what Chinese people think of it is very different from what Americans think of it.

Will China become democratic? Why should they? My question is "Is becoming a democratic country is necessary to China?"
I did not say specifically China will or should become democratic, I said the value of Democracy is based on the need of the population, it applies as much to Brazil, Japan than to China.

My country state does a pretty good job at getting things done quickly. I can't speak for the country state you were living in because they may as well be an alien planet as they have a completely different governance than mine.

I'm not surprised NYC is the dirtiest. They should spend more energy getting their people to work instead of handing out free money.

I don't think my state should be subsidizing their subway. They should take care of it themselves instead of asking the rest of us to chip in.

Maybe your state should declare independence from US.

US is the western Version of India with slumps in the cities, with a decay infrastructure made during the 1930s and 1940s that has not been replaced or upgraded.

CCP certainly thinks it's not necessary.

For some reason they aren't too keen on having general elections where CCP would be running against other parties.
