India deploy MiG 29 near Pakistan border
NEW DELHI (SANA): The Indian Air Force has stationed its MiG 29 aircrafts at Adampur near the Pakistani border to strengthen its air defence capabilities and minimise reaction time, said sources Sunday.
There are two squadrons of the warship aircrafts already present at the Adampur Airbase and the third squadron is on its way from Gujarat.
The Russian company would upgrade the 60 MiG aircrafts of the Indian Air Force according to its agreement with the Indian Defense Ministry. The six aircrafts are going to be upgraded in Russia while others will be upgraded in India through Russian collaboration, said the Air Commodore Indian Air Force HS Aurora.
