EPA & DHA are needed for brain development, vegetarian foods only provide Omega 3-ALA, you can get Omega 3 - EPA & DHA from non-veg sources only, and EPA & DHA has distinct benefits that cannot be fulfilled by ALA, some veg sources have very high Omega 3, but not EPA & DHA. Bookmarked for vegans, I used to thought that it's just non-vegs who observe change in behavior of vegans with each passing year, but now i realized problem is scientifically biologically serious.

The latter is wrong entirely. Humans are omnivores, the apex predator on this planet. However, they all need a balanced diet and not vegetarian or meat only diet.
What is balanced diet is debatable. Inuits for instance only eat meat and fat (it is now changing due to modern lifestyle) and zero green yet among the healthiest humans with no cancers, no heart ailments.

Get your family tested. You might be surprised. It is obvious though, meat diet would have much more concentration of several nutrients compared to vegetarians.
@Oscar The lack of nutrients that you claimed is generally found in vegans, Indian vegetarians are generally lacto-veg and not vegan, which means they suffer less from any such deficiency.

The body can convert ALA into EPA and DHA. ALA is efficiently converted to EPA, but it may require large amounts of ALA to produce optimal amounts of DHA. A small amount of recent evidence has raised a concern that large amounts of ALA could be harmful to the eyes over the long term.

Brahmins and Jains always had better access to higher education, it is a social issue, even today our lower caste are deprived in many ways because they start from far behind, but they are catching up fast. For example, people of western countries are far more educated than us, but that doesn't mean they are inherently more intelligent than us, if we apply your logic here, than most western countries are heavy meat eaters.

It is scientifically proven that EPA & DHA are essential for better brain development, probably Jains would have done even better if they were meat eaters. Btw, not all brahmins & baniyas are vegetarians, at least not half of them.

Afaik long back human life expectancy was not more than 60-70.In that case Chimps and humans would've almost similar life expectancies.
The article also mentions that humans started having a higher life expectancy in the last 200 years after the allopathic medicines etc introduced. So for me the reson why human live longer is because of the antibiotics that we pop in.
Non veg diet such as the one which includes fish does help in better functioning of brain. But in that case fishes like whale and shark would 've been the sharpest beings on earth. :D

so you mean to say vegans can perform comparable or even better than meat eaters? and jains are veg from almost 2000 years their brain might have become ant sized by now?

A thing to note is that all these tests were probably conducted on western people with their type of vegetarian diets,, while vegetarian diets are far more evolved in India.
