MARRIOTT ISLAMABAD opens for public

Marriott Islamabad opened its door for Wedding functions. Just coming back from one tonight which was held at a completely re-done Marquee. The hotel is now protected by a 12-ft blast proof wall with entrance restricted for any cars or vehicles in front. The entrance lobby has been also re-done along with Nadia Cafe. It was good to see the old faces in the catering department, especially the two symbolic doormen who had miraculously survived the tragedy in September 2008. It was also almost nostalgic to be back in the same Marriott which had become the symbol of the strong human spirit to re-build against all odds. Its indeed good to have the Marriott back in the scene of Islamabad and I wish the management the best of luck and congratulate them on a good job done in bringing back the hotel to life in a very short period of time.
