Man fined for blasphemy, not killed: Isn’t this a better way?

There is no mass revolt against this ruling in Dubai. They obviously know more Arabic yet they have not come to the conclusion that blasphemy merits death sentence. What is it that we know that they don’t?

Incidentally the original 295A introduced in British era did just that; it did not give death sentence but enough punishment to create deterrence. Isn’t the solution simply to go back to pre-Zia era laws?

Yup it is avery good way to solve the problem. However, it must be properly implemented, or else corrupt politicians or even local influentials will use the law to earn money

I would agree to death penalty if a muslim insults other religion and is awarded death too.

if any person say something against islam doesnot mean he should be given death sentence and the qadi can give any kind of punishment but if anyone insults the Prophet pbuh has to get a death sentence ( even if he oppologise and doesnot matter what his religon is ).
