South Africa? You claim as first world?
No need to glorify..An annual sale of 300,000 Mahindra and Tata, with 10,000 exports. This pretty much accounts for all the indian domestic home grown car industry, which is equal to 1/3 the sales of Haval brand alone... And if take the foreign brands into account, our annual sales of 530,000 Audis worth all your cars sold in a year...
I only want to prove Indian cars are sold in first world countries. No need to glorify..An annual sale of 300,000 Mahindra and Tata, with 10,000 exports. Indians are creepy.
Their thinking is very static. Almost frozen. They lack analytical skills and they often fall short of historical thinking.
Their thinking pattern has huge leaps and is not coherent. Hence, they can dream of India 2030 but remain totally ignorant of India of today. There are so many unacknowledged areas in their thinking.
They are completely devoid of evolutionary progress.
Nobody denies China, along with most of East Asia (except Japan, perhaps) has been a late comer in industrial development. While Ford Motors was revolutionizing assembly lines, China was in the midst of a civil war. While GM was accounting for more than half of the global automobile production, China was just declaring the New China out of the ruins of colonialism, Japanese occupation and revolutionary war.
Hence, China's industrial development is not an anomaly; in fact, its speed and progress is impressive.
Toyota was being ridiculed in the 60s as both being copy and crappy. As late as the early 2000s, they used to say in the US, "If you want to double the value of your Hyundai, just fill it up."
This is despite the fact that the US market has been wide open to the export of low-quality Japanese and Korean products in return for political subjugation.
China could not have, naturally, sacrifice its sovereignty, hence, it had to take the difficult road of indigenous industrialization. Automobile industry is one of them.
Doubtlessly, there was a stage of learning from the early industrial nations but if we consider the level achieved today (especially with respect to autonomous driving or batteries for E-vehicles, China is among the leading countries in all these.
Most of the pictures shown are not even available in the mass market now. Some other pictures are forced as copies despite the fact that there are significant design differences. Eventually, an SUV (which is a Japanese invention later adopted by the Western automakers) should have a basic structure. You have to follow the norm, otherwise it won't be an SUV.
Yet, many Indians show a lack of intellectual honesty and run their googling skills while avoiding the central theme of the thread. Remember, by the late 1990s, China and India had roughly similar GDP (in USD).
While most of them Chinese haven't gotten over the middle kingdom mentality. At display on the thread.Chinese and Indians have different mentalities and follow different logic. When China was at the development stage of India today, no Chinese had nerve to laugh at others or was in mood of talking about "superpower" BS. They felt the shame. We bite the bullet and worked our arss out.
Many Indians have enjoyed mocking on China for "copy and paste" for the past 20 years, and they just indulged in their own fun a little too much and for little too long. China today is in a totally different league, but Indians are still using the same accusation to excuse their own incompetency. It is the Indian mindset that makes India India. It is hopeless, no matter who is the PM.

Since being poor to rich. All the same.
So you mean this 10,000 Mahindra cars worth $6.5 billion?

How? Just by your bragging mouth, with those ZEROOOOO star ratings?
I agree to what you said.like I told you, even Toyota and Honda started with copying but today they are world leaders.China just baffles me that how you start copying initially and everyone laughs at you but then you stay under the radar for few years and suddenly you trounce them who ridiculed you.I think innovation has become part of your DNA now.Bhai airbags is just one of the criteria, the main element is the structural integrity, if your car gets ZERO, it's basically crap. 10 years ago, ONE Chinese car got this rating and all Indians were laughing. It was the first try by a Chinese company. The next 5 years they got 2 stars, and now 5 stars. You see where I am going here? The Chinese manufacturer were not exposed to the test regime, they didn't know how it was graded, but they learn. Same for aircraft, ARJ-21 took 10 years to be certified, Indians were laughing, now CAAC has bilateral certification with FAA. It took us 10 years to get there, do you know how powerful is the bilateral certification? It means we are on par with the best aviaiton standards.

and the BS comments continues !!!
As of NOW - NO!!!! as the cases are in the courts
SNippets
"US-based pharma majors are miffed that India allows domestic companies to launch cheaper variants of patented medicines in public interest under the "compulsory licensing" clause of the Indian Patents Act. US companies call it patent violation while the Indian government calls it a legitimate right. Indian laws also clearly rule out patents for molecules invented before 1995, incremental innovations and previously known molecules. "At least 500-600 patents would have been denied under the section on innovations (Section 3d) in India's patent law," says an expert."
We have to wait for the judgement
I think you don't even bother to read OP first post. Chinese car score 4 star and even video posted. You cheapshot will only suit China haters. The video you posted about Chinese car is donkey years ago. Why not you post the most recent video about how many EV car Indian produced and sold in other places? Zero.LOL - I wonder why everything has to be explained to Chinese posters like they are 5 years old. All the cars mentioned above are manufactured in India. Mahindra is small fry.
And here is an Indian Tata Zest scoring 4 stars
Here is an Indian Suzuki Ertiga scoring 4 stars
The same Tata Zest without airbags scores 0 stars.
From 2019, Airbags will be mandatory in Indian cars.
Here is a Chinese car with 0 stars. ZEROOOOOOO as you say.
Moral of the story: Any car without airbags will get 0 stars in crash tests.
Do you now understand or is all this still too complicated?
Indian love double standard. They are very thick skinned. All the crap they laugh at others is directed at themselves like low quality product, outdated technology and copycat. But they will lived in denial mode and think they are first world.
Do you India have no shame?
If you were not copycat just because your courts haven't made the judgment, then stop calling us copycat because our courts have made the judgment that our companies did nothing wrong.
Lol... you are really like 1 year old baby... Take you so long to find such a 10+ years old video. I thought you could find something new to defame "Made in China". really disappointed. So you mean 4 stars are better than 5 stars, as you said in your previous post that you make super duper way better better cars than China??LOL - I wonder why everything has to be explained to Chinese posters like they are 5 years old. All the cars mentioned above are manufactured in India. Mahindra is small fry.

That's it, really. Probably not all, But almost all Indians I read here have distinct thinking pattern in which you observe huge blank spots. Especially present history is missing. They dream of 2030 but have little clue about 2017. Dreaming without a grasp of present reality Just keeps them almost at the same spot, if not worse they were 20 years ago.
About the Middle Kingdom mentality another member mentioned, exactly so, this sense of historical greatness help revitalize China at each cycle. Especially the last cycle was a brutal one, hence, the sense of urgency.

Back to topic, I think another preemptive and smart policy by China was to require foreign makers to set up joint ventures and share technology if they want a pie in the China market.
India seems to swallow the fake neoliberal free trade bait. Hence, foreigners just come and take advantage of the market growth without adding much value added to the economy.
In the end, economic performance is an aspect of good governance, which China excells at.
