I read it on wikki that we are getting it so I started this threadThen why seek US military hardware, like the topic in this thread?
better target would be terrorists in North Warziristan
why you all so hostile towards India???
if you two war it's only going to hurt both or Pakistan worse.
Pakistan is seeking 150 pieces of surplus stock M-270s from the US. With ACTMS rockets in service, it will bridge our stand off strike gap.

If USSR would have captured any state of USA what would you have done?? be friendly with them??
What this system add which PA currently don't have and it is old system too, is it updated as per today's tech??
We can get advance tech through China or may be Russia.
Well I know many times Wikki doesn't have correct information but I took the chanceyour biggest mistake.....
we would love to have this MRLS but as you said PK army is doing quite well without it so far.
Why should the "Islamic" Republic of Pakistan receive American made weapons?? After all, don't members here complain how "unreliable" Americans are and how we shouldn't depend on the West, but yet Pakistanis are so eager to take in more and more American weapons.Entered service1983

The M270 MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) entered service with the US Army in 1983. Production of this vehicle ceased in 2003. The M270 is currently in service with the US Army and a number of other countries. It is also a standard NATO multiple launch rocket system.
A unique feature of the M270 is that it has got no launching rails. Rockets are fired straight away from containers. Each disposable container holds 6 rockets. Rockets can be stored in containers without any maintenance for up to ten years. Vehicle carries two such containers with a total of 12 rockets.
The standard 227-mm HE-FRAG rocket is 3.96 m long and weights 307 kg. The M270 also fires two types of cluster rockets, fitted with anti-tank submunitions and the AT-2 anti-tank mines. Warheads are interchangeable. It also fires newly developed guided munitions at a range of 60 - 100 km.
The M270 MLRS can also launch MGM-140A ATACMS (Army TACtical Missile System) tactical missiles. The ATACMS has a range exceeding 150 km. Two of these missiles can be carried. Furthermore vehicle can carry a mix of one missile and a pack of six rockets.
The M270 is based on the modified M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle chassis. Vehicle is powered by the Cummins VTA-903T diesel engine, developing 500 horsepower. It has an armored hull, protecting the crew against small arms fire. It is also fitted with an NBC protection and automatic fire suppression systems.
Reloading of the vehicle is made by its crew during 5-10 minutes. It is assisted by an integrated crane. Reloads are carried in the M985 HEMTT high mobility utility truck.
Variants
M142 HIMARS is a lighter version of the M270. This artillery system is intended for airborne forces and marine. The launcher is based on a 6x6 army truck. The HIMARS fires the same rockets as the M270 MLRS, however it carries only one container with a total of 6 rockets. It entered service with the US Army and Marine Corps in 2005.

I just read it on wikki and I started the thread other wise I am against getting weapons from USA they can't be trusted they in the past have stopped weapon supplies to us in most crucial times when we needed them most in 71 and also after Afghan Jihad they never gave the number of F-16 which we asked and paid forWhy should the "Islamic" Republic of Pakistan receive American made weapons?? Have some shame!! Do Pakistanis love getting @$$ raped by Americans over and over again??
That's why we should go for or produce something similar to the Chinese SY-400 rather than go for free American junk because it might be "free" but it isn't going to work for us when we need it thus it is nothing but "junk" for us.I just read it on wikki and I started the thread other wise I am against getting weapons from USA they can't be trusted they in the past have stopped weapon supplies to us in most crucial times when we needed them most in 71 and also after Afghan Jihad they never gave the number of F-16 which we asked and paid for
Exactly yes we should go for SY-400 we can get it with TOT and produce as many as we wantThat's why we should go for or produce something similar to the Chinese SY-400 rather than go for free American junk because it might be "free" but it isn't going to work for us when we need it thus it is nothing but "junk" for us.
We don't need more junk.
I like your posts in general, but be aware of one thing, that the game is much bigger, either you fall in the American Christian hand or the Russian Christian hand both are hands of a third party which head is a Judeo-Christian amalgam of churches and their politician followers. And this policy is played throughout the world with no exception.
- Soviet Union wanted a dry transit to Karachi which the US didn't want, since they were engaged in Vietnam and they didn't want the USSR to access warm water ports. Pakistan's democratically elected PM Bhutto agreed to USSR which was in our interest. The USSR built a huge steel mill in Karachi out of their own pocket to sweeten the deal.
- US threatened Bhutto if he didn't refuse the transit, he refused.
- US then supported a rogue General, Zia ul Haq to mount a military coup which removed Bhutto establishment which was elected by 70% votes and replaced it with an American funded military junta which destroyed our society within 10 years. (Similar to what the US did in Iran with President Mussadaq)
- Zia did what he was brought to do, he refused the USSR a transit to Karachi, they got pissed and vowed to take it by force.
- They wanted to use Afghanistan which was their ally to attack Pakistan, which didn't work so they staged an assassination of the Afghan leadership to create a pretext of invasion and later entered Afghanistan with an objective in mind to cease Pakistan's coastal areas in coordination with India which was its ally. Pakistan was in a position where it couldn't have held a two front war against India and a Superpower.
- That war killed 1 Million Muslims, displaced 7 million and it was all done to please a Christian supower we have nothing to do with.
- Pakistan was the US's mercenary in Afghanistan and we were forced into that war by the US. Our best interest was to cooperate with the USSR to build our economy so we can give our people the basic necessities of livelihood.
- The 'extremism' started in 1979 and it was a direct consequence of the US imperialist thought.
Strings come with all deals, however unlike American Christians, the Chinese Buddhists don't make Muslims kill Muslims.
