He will pick his choice not for us but anyone from army would act what we expect so no need to worry since Raheel Sharif also not the senior most or eligible (in sense od seniority and experience).
Even he (N.S) made some random major as chief he would do whatever he can in favor of Pakistan.

Thing is no candidate for COAS is willing to fool around. They all seem like people that would want to get things done. Each option has its merits.

 Exactly, people are more interested in settling some invisible scores with Nawaz Sharif rather than talking about who would would fill the shoes of General Raheel.

IF it wasn’t for the Punjabi establishment and its corrupt politicians, judiciary, and bureaucracy. The only shoes Nawaz and his partners would be filling would be the prisoner’s shoes, along with kiyani and his partners.

The divide among Pakistanis is growing on a ground level be it the urdu speaking community, baloch or pashtuns. They better get their sh1t together before things go downhill in a decade or 2 with a small spark. Army should lead the process as they have been part of creating the mess in one way or another. Firstly you are expecting Nawaz to understand this whole spectrum and somehow if manages that expect him to put Pakistan before his family. That is a little too much for his big head and small brain.

This troll really sums up Ganja.

IF it wasn’t for his Punjabi parents (current and previous parents) in GHQ and Punjab, he would be in the gutter by now like Bhutto. keep laughing, Nawazo leader

I guess he is right man for right job.

Let me think of what Would be the possible outcomes
1-Ramday, I don't believe he will be getting favor from the PM as most of the people here think. Reasons despite Ramdays being closely related to PM (Mustafa Ramday serving as AGP Punjab and Asad ur Rehman Ramday being the MNA on PML-N's ticket). PM had a row with the MNA of late during a parliamentary committee. Ramday's appointment, though having the merits of its own may end up putting Ramdays in a blackmailing position. But as a soldier, General Ramday is a very fine soldier, adaptable, and being able to maintain good working relationship with PM Office, so no problems there.
2-Gen Ishfaq Hardcore soldier, impressive career are his hallmarks but his bluntness is something which is negative w.r.t two aspects A)Maintaining successful working relationship requires fair degree of flexibility. 2)As a COAS, the role itself demands a fair amount of flexibility since General Ishfaq will have to work with the management appointed by GRS for the time being at least. However, his apolitical nature and solider spirit would be very hard to ignore so here's the catch, if PMNS wants to maintain the most combat experience, then Gen Ishfaq can be given the position of CJCSC instead of general Zubair Hayat and would serve as a perfect duo to General Bajwa in completing the GRS doctrine. In my view, providing the office to Gen Ishfaq is relatively better off than handing over the office to Gen Zubair
3-Gen Bajwa, the real contender given A) His extensive experience on LoC B)His flexible nature C)His success in the role training and evaluation showing a visible improvement in army's combat standards put him at the pole position in IMHO. Despite engaging Indians on LoC, him seeing the extremism as the main threat is a definite plus. His easygoing personality also aids him in maintaining a good working relationship with the PM.
So In my opinion
CJSCS-Gen Ishfaq.
COAS-Gen Bajwa.

Yes yes dreaming isn't forbidden :)

Even Gen Raheel enhanced Mustaches after a while in his tenure originally his mustaches weren't that thick. But a soldier is a soldier, not a model or a superhero.

This is what I was trying to explain in another thread to cult of Army regarding Raheel Sharif's context and they automatically assumed that I cannot be from Punjab even though I am :(

If the events that took place in NS's era would have happened in a PM's era who didn't belong to PMLN, all the hell would have broken loose.

As a journalist says, "Nawaz Shairf army ka jamhoori bacha hai"

.
Interestingly, every COAS appointed by the civilian setup based on their perception that the man would be a toady has turned out to be the one deposing them.

Be it Zia or Musharraf

Stick to PTI and the troll sections, where you only show up to certain threads. Like a friend showing up to fight when he knows they have the upper hand, in other words he knows he wont get his a$$ kicked. Yes you are THAT friend:D I would deal with my enemy but do not have time for cowards:lol:

On a lighter note do not get personal when you Intellectual level lag, atleast with me.

Well I don't know how PTI figured into this thread? I am better off having civic sense than such intellect, thank you.

So maybe another coup? Having a coup, somehow, seems to be the sole purpose of creation of this forum

Just a hint, remember that mustaches and coup theory that TTs were selling here in 2014 dharna days?
