Lies My History Teacher Told Me

I second that sir.
re first part some big WAR criminals met the justice finally decades after their atrocities when they were finally nabbed across the globe .. reference to Nazi leadership. whatever the circumstances their actions were unjustified.

I am sure that mature adults can discuss their views, but not all members might be able to meet such expectations.

and in the meanwhile he did what was needed to prove his power so basically there was no holocaust right ?

May be it was part of his overall strategy? But why take this thread off topic?

Because you brought on real life experience, something these people do not have. Intellectually speaking, that was cruel because you denied them the one tool they have to criticize US decades after the fact.

nah man, I never fought in Japan during 1945. So to most of these people I know just about the square root of Jack Shit....

.
My feelings on the matter are of secondary relevance to the issue. This is a debate between two parties. I might be tempted to intrude into this matter if I fel that either of the two parties was restricted, muffed or hampered in expressing their views.

However who the *bleep* thinks American's or Japanese are unable to advocate their feelings? One is superpower the other is a economic superpower.

If the Japanese have forgiven 1945 who the hell am I?

Ps. I don't want to get accused by American's of being "slave to yellow skinned Japanese" so I will leave one of the most eloquent members here from the land of rising sun to say his piece.

You and I have been in situations where our lives were in harm's way. You more so than I. So we know better than most of the ya-hoos here the intellectual danger and self deceit of criticizing some war events that happened decades ago when intelligence were scant on what was happening in their real time. This subject is raised every yr, practically on German precision engineering level clockwork. The criticisms are the same in contents, just in different words and paragraphs, not to illuminate the event, but to mindlessly criticize the US. Nothing more.

:rofl: then indeed American bombing of Japanese cities was justified
And following relentless bombing on every part of Japan, I wonder how the peanut supply could have continued to lube the vehicles... wait a minute, were the vehicles not already destroyed? Oh I see, to lube their hairs. For sure, letting Japanese lubricating their hairs could not be allowed... so yes, they had every good reason to nuke them.

.
After the war, it turned out there were underground factories capable of manufacturing everything from rifles to tanks to even fighters. The Japanese managed to turn peanut oil into working lubricants. Further, the Quantung Army was on the march home. This army was defeated on mainland China, but on home soil, they would have been formidable insurgent fighters.

Yes...The benefits of hindsight just to criticize America.

I know...Every yr the same crap get re-post over and over...

It must sucks big time for you Pakistanis to see the few Americans on this forum defend their country, and evidently, it sucks worse to see naturalized Americans at that.

Oh...The mental anguish so many of you must go through to see your little corner of the Internet contaminated by Americans.

Nah,we don't care.We have loads of things to do in real life.Besides,if we would have problems with American presence in here then you people have been banned or we would have set US ips in discouraging option via technical help of xenforo software. However, the fact is that we welcome you people to come and express your point of view and if things could be neutralized then there would be nothing wrong with neutralizing or clarifying such accusations, because it will bring people closer and softer.
However,we discourage arrogance, hatred and we dislike hateful-pride,as this makes poster look stupid and childish.
Anyway,my condolences again to both Americans and Japaneses.

Regards

If you do not criticize US, then you are a slave to the white Americans, according to the forum's resident 'academician'.

Nah,we don't care.
Oh...Yes...Many of you do have such care. The level of racism I received from your fellow Pakistanis were impressive when I first joined. First because I was perceived a typical redneck American, then when it came out I was a naturalized US citizen, the racist insults got really really impressive. Your fellow Pakistanis must have trolled stormfront to get them.

It is not about criticizing AMERICA. it is about killing of human. you cannot justify testing live bombs on human just like you cannot justify using gas chambers on human

lol, they are free to hate America, even sometime I hate America too (Especially those time when I want something to be done by the Government like renewing my Firearms Licenses or tax my overseas income......)

I am more than happy to debate what actually happened in battle and what run through a person mind when he or she aim their rifle at a human being and pull the trigger. Problem is, these dude here do not care about this at all, all they think is what they think and how this preside just because of whoever did something, then that must be wrong.

Or else we would have hear debate on nuclear power after the tragedy in Chernobyl.

It is a bit different between bombing someone in war til they are submitted than putting people in gas chamber because they are a particular race or religion.

If the first cannot be justified, then so do any bombing campaign, then what is the need or air force? Armed Force? and then finally war?

.
The US was morally wrong. But wars are not fought and won by who is right. The US was able to humiliate Japan - which was an important intention. They did it.

.
Indeed we all know. You should also then accept that killing of Jews by Hitler was all about war. it was also justified as per your theory.
To Hitler, it was a war.

But just because one present one's justification, that does not mean all have to accept it. For this subject, the arguments have been presented many times over on why the US felt the A-bombs had to be used. The primary reason was to induce Imperial Japan to surrender, not to put the fear of the atom into Stalin, even though that was the side benefit. Stalin wanted control of mainland China more than he did of the Japanese home islands. You are free to accept the A-bombs arguments just as you are free to accept Hitler's arguments. Of course, your personal biases would turn you either way.

How much more different it is to kill someone with a bullet than putting someone in gas chambers (lets accept for a while that this claim of gassing tens of thousands in limited gas chambers is correct)? Native Americans? Rings some bells? Until late 60s, blacks were third class citizens and segregated based on race...
