Might be the best decision you've made in a generation. We already knew you were hiding him. We already knew you were double-crossing us. What do you think we'd have done if you'd fired at those choppers?

In short words Pakistani brass is US bitch,he tells that kiyani and Pasha were happy on that Ops regardless of humiliation Pakistan has got.

If Pakistan didn't want to be humiliated, they shouldn't have provided sanctuary to Bin Ladin. You could have killed him and been the heroes of the WoT but you chose to play it this way.

what you have done with Mullah Omar who has killed 40000+ NTAO soldiers that was good face saving for US.what you would have done is we know but you should know before you would have done any damage to US entire force in Afghanistan would have been wiped.

First of, you've got an extra zero in your number of coalition deaths in Afghanistan. Or maybe you're just a big Mullah Omar fan. Anyway, here's a link to the number of deaths by year

iCasualties | Operation Enduring Freedom | Afghanistan

Whether you have the capability to destroy the entire coalition force in Afghanistan is debatable. What's not debatable is that an attempt to do that would have meant you'd cease to exist. Is that really the price you want to pay just to protect some terrorist?

And NATO is going to disclose it's death toll..huh...who is terrorist God knows but surely those who were finding WMD and destroyed Iraq, created a power vacuum and then created ISIS......we fought USSR knowing that when USSR would be fighting us there would be no allies to help but we don't cared for existence at all, so as goes with US.You guys are truly Misguided,15 years of war 40000 dead bodies a fake OBL raid and then we are leaving a developed Afghanistan.

Its a little more dubious than that. There are elements that are working within the Military/Intel complex in Pakistan which many at the top don't know about. There were elements in the ISI that were genuinely looking for OBL along with CIA without any knowledge of his whereabouts.. and there were elements who kept him hidden out of sympathy without letting those teams know.

There's a link in the page I posted. Click on it. It has names of everyone who died and location where they died. Like I said, it's fine that you're a Mullah Omar fan. Just don't repeat everything he tells you. It's embarrassing.

USSR was never fighting you. They were in Afghanistan. You wanted to be in our good graces so you decided to help us mess with them. You never marched your army into Aghanistan and met them head on. Stop pretending like you've got some heroic army that fought against all odds. You trained and armed Afghan guerrilla fighters with our money. That's your contribution to history.

If the OBL raid was fake, why are you so offended? Why would you want to shoot down choppers that only had actors and movie crews?

You may not care about your existence, it's obvious that the rest of Pakistan does or they wouldn't have jumped in and helped with the WoT and would have done something when we killed you hero and tossed his body into the ocean like some piece of trash.

I don't doubt that we had help inside Pakistan from some source. I doubt a bunch of white guys sneaking found him by themselves.

They were in the "business" of helping you find Bin Laden. You put them out of business. You want grateful?

Heroism is overrated, they prefer your money.

They could have had both. Not sure why they decided that this was the best course of action. Same with Mullah Omar. He was a pariah in the international community. He could have turned over OBL and become accepted as the legitimate ruler of Afghanistan. Yet he decided to be a hero and ended up with nothing.

Well Clinton always feared that if the choppers would be detected by Pak radars then due to a fear of a surprise attack from India, and after discovering a secret incursion into their airspace, it was possible Pak would 've’ responded with force.
But these 're the reason they went ahead with the mission
1)Vice Admiral McRaven (who had recommended the launch Op Neptune Spear) had said that if he (OSL) wasn’t there, they would know that pretty quickly.
2) A second contingency helped to lower the political risk of the mission because it helped to prevent a failed raid from becoming a crisis of bilateral relations.
3) Admiral Mullen (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff), who had enough experience working with Pak could anticipate Pakistan’s reaction time, which they assumed would be enough to take their SEALs out before Pak retaliated.
4) Gen Kayani was given many hints, Admiral Mullen had repeatedly emphasized to General Kayani that “If we know we can find Number One or Number Two, we are going to get 'em,” and he had also made it clear “we are going to get them unilaterally".

Btw this is an interesting find...

Its a map drawn by Mark Owen( the Navy SEAL who had participated in the mission) in his book No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission that Killed Osama bin Laden (2012). The map shows that the black hawk which was carrying assaulters crossed over Pak’s eastern border with India before looping around and approaching Abbottabad from the southeast, rather than approaching directly from the west (or west-northwest).(none of this is confirmed by the govt.).
