Jordanian F-16 "Shot Down" by ISIS

.
He reportedly landed in a body of water after ejecting. That explains his lack of sidearm.

.
The only two things that need to be discussed are:

1. Who supplied ISIS with FN-6 (Saudia or Pakistan)?
2. Who created ISIS in the first place?

Rest is all conjecture.

1- KSA and Qatar were at the forefront of supplying ISIS, through Turkey.

2- They were created in a Jordanian nursery run by American military advisers to topple Assad.

History has repeated itself. Think about Pakistan, KSA, USA and Taliban.

My guess it was a mechanical failure. Hard to believe that MANPADS could shot down the F-16.

Jordan did not play any role in arming ISIS and could not play even if they wished since they dont border ISIS zones. Dont talk out of ur arse.

It could be, the pilot may not have been flying with the proper countermeasures package or perhaps he was not expecting it. Unlike Radar systems whose warning system are more common, it remains to be seen whether this aircraft had the systems installed as the recently bought European AM/BMs may not have had IR warning sensors on them(the Norwegians only had them installed as recently as 2012).

A similar thing happened in Pakistan couple months back. Group claimed it shot down PAF F-16 turns out to be a farce

Yeah, but drop tanks are generally capable of being "dropped".. an aircraft canopy is another matter.

Except ISIS has no FN-6, they have Igla from the airport armouries they captured off of Assad. And even ISIS in their news paper said it was an Igla.

Horrible news. I hope he can be brought back in prisoner swap deal or something like that.

And no, he should not be committing suicide or anything. That's what military life is and he chose to do something noble and courageous knowing well the risks. He is to be respected for what he was doing and we should all wish him well. Whether or not he makes it out alive does not take away from him what he was doing; noble and brave!

Tell that to some people in this thread pointing fingers and laughing and accusing him of helping the people he is bombing. A sack of idiots they are.

You really are extremely provocative you know that?

Duh...... what else would they say Sherlock!!

Try to keep secret help a secret you mean? So the countries are helping ISIS shoot down their own jets... Very clever. You came up with that one all by yourself?

Nah. Just a tad! :D

Such situations are always very fluid (dynamic)..... loyalties and targets change with the drop of a hat......... now someone tell the Qataris that.
