Jinnah class guided missile frigate has entered detailed design phase, after completion of conceptual design phase

Honestly, this is the Jinnah class we all want ... it's true potential is yet to be known, for example, the size of both VLS modules etc, but I believe this platform can be tailored to meet PN requirements. If it's VLS can host long range missiles, and shorter ones can be quad packed then it has potential to become most heavily armed warship in this weight category. Get 4 of these ships and We won't be needing a destroyer size ship after that.
Is PN thinking of going the AS3600 route for their JCF instead of the Istanbul class? ASFAT is one of the JCF's main contractors and the company that developed the AS3600 concept.

Any respectable member, like @arslank03 @Bilal Khan (Quwa), can shed some information on it, however thread spoilers stay away please.

IMO, looking the conceptional design (Weapons & sensors suite) the tonnage would end up 4k plus.

Exactly, the ASFAT director's response in that article is quite intriguing, which is what prompted me to ask the question.....

"Speaking to Naval News, ASFAT officials stated that AS3600 is a conceptual design and there is no certain timeline for the project yet. When we materialize it into something more concrete, we will see how the host navies will define it,” said Mr Sinan Topuz, an ex-Navy Captain, and Director of Strategy and Business Development of ASFAT Inc.

The AS3600 was unveiled by ASFAT for the first time in IDEF 2023. The model stands out with its extensive armament and sensors. It carries 32×2-cell vertical launch systems and 4×2 surface-to-surface missiles, which are expected to be increased to 4×4."

Since the SA'AR- 5/6 of the Israeli Navy are the AS3600 design's most plausible equivalent in terms of armament, the idea is not implausible.

It should. Frontal VLS for Air Defense and in center for long range land attack cruise missiles

Hope the JCF's steel is sourced from Pakistani suppliers, would probably drive the costs down alot and we would be able to call the ship indigenous to a pretty large extent, otherwise basically everything, including non-critical inputs, would be imported aside from the SSMs.

AS3600 is a great design if you don't want to buy a Type 52D/TF-2000 down the line, but maybe the design can be expanded to accommodate a bigger, multi-sided radar instead of a rotating one to make it more future proof.

It might be interesting. While we are fairly certain that the quad pack CAMM-ER/MR with Sylver-A50 VLS system would be the best option for frontal VLS.

Though unsure which type/system will be chosen for the center's VLS long-range AshM. This will depend on whether the PN chooses indigenous, Chinese or Turkish options. However, really like to see CM-302 in slant launchers.

Why not quad packed Siper B2 with MIDLAS?

Can it be quad packed? As for I-class, they aren't. If possible, that would be an intriguing choice.

Since PN already selected the quad pack CAMM-ER system for the Babur and Yarmook classes hence keeping the uniformity of the system, it was suggested.

Yes it was shown to be quad packable at IDEF. It is not currently in service but it has been test fired and will be used on board Istanbul class in the future. It should definitely be an option by the time JCF rolls out.

Siper B2 missiles (150x30km) is a potent system but has not yet undergone extensive testing and is not yet in service as quad pack in MIDLAS, but with the aforementioned range, it will unquestionably be out perform CAMM-ER.

Agreed, PN will aquire conventional deterrence once they aquire long range cruise missiles. The adversary needs to be sure that any attack on Pakistani ports will be responded with attack on enemy's ports.

Exactly. India is building that capability our Ships and Submarines should have capability to strike Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi and other Indian cities with dozens of cruise missiles

Why do you need submarines for that? Quite expensive. You can use land based cruise missiles to target Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi etc...

Respected members kindly stick to the thread & avoid to derail it.

Thanks...

Don't try to derail the thread as we are talking about JCF design & its specifications....

IMO, JCF our own ship design should have the capability to carry our own home built land attack cruise missiles. (Variants of baburs perhaps..?) These ships will serve a long time in future and land attack capability is important role (targets on the shores, naval dockyards, ports). The introductory notes by captains of Tughril ships on their induction specially said that the ship is also capable for land attack. I could be wrong but It seems PN is keen to display or have this capability in future platforms including JCF.
