JF-17 Thunder has been test flown by several countries.

CATIC President Ma Zhiping speaking from the Paris Air show has said several countries have test flown JF-17 fighter plane. African and Middle Eastern countries have shown strong interest in the aircraft. Sales outside Pakistan are likely in next two-three years.

Mr. Ma also said "We've entertained customers from Africa, the Middle East and Asia. On the first day we had meetings with 10 customers. They were interested in all of our aircraft, including the JF-17."

Whoever said China had prohibited the sales was obviously wrong! :china:::china::pakistan::pakistan::yahoo::yahoo:

some African officials were very interested in jf17 。they asked for jft's information carefully in paris airshow

nowhere it is said that Pakistan is going to be part of these sales and the Chinese wont split their profits with anyone as they have said before.

you are very wrong., the JF17 is a 50%-50% joint venture.2 countries have 50% share in profit.
plaaf have even any privileges in jft .bcz They did not invest jft

sorry it is not, no where has it been stated that Pakistan has a 50% share in the JF-17 or it gets any part of the profits. A JV does not automatically mean a 50-50 deal unlike what many fanboys here say.

Jf-17 is cost effective and can still put up BVR fight the Chinese will make a nice shiny nickel off the Jf-17 though they have not inducted it themselves weird......

A little common sense which is very uncommon now a days dictate us that, there are two versions of Fighter aircraft we are discussing. FC-1 (chinese version) and Jf-17 (Pakistani version). Now tell me, the Chinese spokesman, said we are going to sell JF-17, not the FC-1. which clearly means, if JF-17 is sold, which is a Pakistani version, then we will definitely see profits for Pakistan too.

I hope it clears up your confusion Mr.

i am commenting on his post, and the general lack of facts when its comes to the JF-17, im sure I can do that on a forum.

you really have no idea what your talking about. FC-1 is the generic production code and JF-17 is the official name given to it. They are the same thing, its like saying Flanker or the SU-30, different people call it different names. JF-17 or FC-1 both patents are owned by the Chinese who have the sole right to sell the jet.

Who told you they have sole right to sell?

The FC-1 (Fighter China-1) Xiaolong is the result of a joint Sino-Pakistani development programme that started in 1999, with each side contributing 50% of the total development cost.

so when it comes to profit, how are you saying that without any links or any report which would imply that china will take all the profits or if china is the sole owner of JF-17?

i think some chinese member can put more light on the whole isuue of 50% each ..
but intrestingly whenever this question cameup for disscussion , chinese members preffer to ignore the issue and it just became a debate between indians and pakistani members...intresting !!

Pakistan did contribute significantly to the project. I believe it was previously mentioned that they played an important role in deciding whether DSI inlets should be used on the plane.

actually it's not the contribution which is the question here ,.. the question here is about 50% partnership....you must be having some idea on it...
