I think the idea IS that the JF-17 is to be integrated with the MAR-1.. but the mirage fleet will get priority since the JF-17 has been pushed back in schedule along with the urgency that came after the 2008 events. There was a need for a SEAD capability urgently and the best system for that was the Mirage ROSE series.

But that still must mean that the missile is already available for PAF right?

From the Sipri database. Deliveries began in 2010 which probably started with the Training rounds-Test equipment..and then live rounds.

In the air the JF-17 is one sleek sexy killer. Thanks for the images guys. Really appreciate your efforts to keep us engaged but wanna see more I am addicted to Pakistan and Pak forces and images.

Really depressed to read that the PAF has not the funds to upgrade as planned in their strategic framework 2025. Really angry at the last government for their utter failures and corruption. However, great to see even the old stuff maintained to such high standards that even those Mirages with million of miles on their clocks looking new.:pakistan:

Not sure if this has been posted before, but that's an impressive looking flight line.

Peshawar AB, i see the green one flying often. Don't know why they have still kept this one in the green color especially when it is not sent abroad or any aerobatic exercise done with it.

How the picture has been taken ? as per photo all six thunders are in the picture it means there was another fighter jet along with 6 thunders ?

Its not the real deal, CG!

As you would probably know, the green one was the first to come off the PAC production line, so it's kept like a mile stone.
I think the other one in two nation colours is also kept in the original scheme.

101 - 108 - 111 are wearing their original paint schemes, they won't be changed any day soon.

Perhaps it is being kept like this as a symbol, it was the first one to be assembled in PAC Kamra as far as i know. So a flag carrier and suitable for welcome/escort duties!
Looks nice anyways, specially when flying! :)

The thing that we need to be more worried about and need to be discussing is that PAC and the military overall have been really put on the back foot as far as the budget goes in the past few years! the expenses are increasing so there are lesser funds for future developments. We saw the U212 go, then the AK-II have been on card for so long, the next block modification for JFT are also not going great, no development on FC-20!

of all this, the JF-17 Blk II upgrades are the appropiate thing that need to be discussed here. Unfortunately we might not see an different engine, that in return mean, no increase in hard points/pay load. No major improvement in T/W ratio, and no FLIR.

Most probable the BLK-II will now feature a mid air refueling probe and a bit more use of composites, that will be all!
However, being optimistic, that is also not that bad as it sounds. It is only that most of us were hoping for more but now with government changed (despite the fact i have no high hopes from PMLN and also that they are quite anti-military in there approach so far) things will surely improve a bit compared to last term. With energy crisis, foreign dept and other such national issues in top priority, the military development will slowly get back on track and in three to four years we will start getting some good news (InshAllah). The last five years were perhaps the worst of our history and now we need to get over with that.

101 to 108 should be the numbers of the SBP manufactured in China.
109 to 150 should be the numbers for PAC-Kamra manufactured examples.
what was the number of the one attrition example?

07-101 is usually seen flying from Kamra, it's not stationed permanently in one base, its the original JF17 and will carry the Sino-Pak camo

09-111 is the first JF17 built inside Kamra, 09-109 and 09-110 were built in CAC and delivered in a An-124 and subsequently assembled in PAC , SBP were 101-108

Wasn't SBP done in Kamra?
