JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

.
Let me rephrase what you wrote.
RD-93 "had" smoke issue which was resolved, happened in the past you mentioned it in your post as this is still an issue.

But the first versions of JF-17 "had" smoke issues - why talk about the past?

There are alternatives to RD-93 but PAF still chooses RD-93 - There are no alternatives available, only because there are many jet engines made in the world does not mean they are "viable alternatives" available to PAF.

Nothing but a red carpet welcome for Heat seekers (SAMs). Don't make an even bigger fool of yourself by writing such stupid shit.

No hatred at all.
RD-93 has smoke issue which is nearly solved by PAF.
But the first versions of JF-17 has smoke issue due to these engines....

Hi

i guess you never took chemistry in high school or college.

Otherwise you would have learnt that the invisible area outside of the flame is the hottest.

the smoke does nothing.

also if you had flown an aircraft you would have known that smoke is not visible when you are looking out of your canopy.

aircraft leave contrails—-what happens then

If I can't see it, you can kindly point it out. That's all I asked.

hi

i have pointed many things out many a times but you kids have learning disabilities.

Pure BS what is it's relationship with missile.

Ignorant! it is physics not chemistry that is related with heat condition in air.
It shows your qualification retard.That it is no more than a matric fail.
Most of the BVR and SAM are no longer only use heat seeking system but slso infrared Tracking system which can easily track a smoke.

Seriously.....just stop.

Lets make it so simple that even kids like you can understand it.
RD-93 has smoke issue
Ans =yes
PAF resolved it
Ans =yes (nearly)
Smoke is good or bad thing for fighter jet?
Ans= yes
How?
Ans = Modren SAMs BVR ASTRA METEOR
Uses many Radar Infrared Optical sensors
With having a smoke,
has a slightly higher probability to detect it.

Sir jee this may come as a surprise to you that Infrared Guided Missiles are also called "Heat Seeking" Missiles.
Please google it, if you have any doubts.

Hi

So if the Aircraft starts going in large circles, the missile will follow those
large circles

and if two aircraft bisect each others smoke contrails or if an aircraft makes a sharp turn will the missile follow and which direction.

Hi

is that what his qualifications is—-a student—-.

And is that what they do in the movie—-chase smoke trails with their missile.

Lets make it so simple that even kids like you can understand it.

so how does the Infra red OPTICAL sensor work?

Hi,

So according to our young and dear colleague here---Jhon Wick---our pilots should not use flares to divert the IR heat seeking missile---if they can find a way to throw out more smoke from the rear of the aircraft and turn away---the missile could possibly get confused---give up on the aircraft and chase the smoke---.

Indeed---brilliant minds think different---.

Indian ASTRA missile and OCRA aircraft can chase smoke...

.
So what happened? One test flight and couple of pics of Block III .... no video? Itna bura haal tu 2003 main nahi tha, when Thunder first flew!

Just quietly read and learn rather than spamming this thread.

Heat seeking missiles are the SAME as infrared tracking ones. Can u tell me how a heat seeking missile "seeks" heat? It uses IR(hint...it stands for INFRARED) sensors. U know why? Bcuz "heat" is emitted in the infrared spectrum.

As for ur expertise about smoke...regardless of smoke or no smoke...heat can still be emitted...like I said it is just infrared light. So even if u don't see a heat trail with ur naked eye(bcuz humans don't perceive infrared)...a heat seeking missile will still detect it. In order to minimize the heat signature there are various strategies...like mixing cool air to the exhaust flow in case of B2 or heat ablating tiles on YF23. In short even without smoke..."heat" will be there(unless some methods to minimize that heat are used).
