1948 long gone. Reality for muhajir is 1973 and onwards and dont know kany generations to run. File petition on court, case all forgotten by court. But yeah dont say because reality hurts.

In 1948, the population of Karachi which was 1.5 per cent of the country, and it was given 2% quota. A special quota of 15 per cent was set aside for immigrants that remained in force from 1948 till 1970.

These special privileges given to Mohajirs unfairly in 1948 were taken back in 1970. Koi zeyadati nahi hoi kisi k sath, Baqion k sath honay wali zeyadati ka azala kernay ki koshish ki gai.. But damage had been done by then as Mohajirs were already dominating the entire bureaucratic machinery in Karachi/Sindh

But in this war of narratives, one thing Mohajirs should acknowledge is that in the first 25 years of Pakistan the residents of Karachi were massive beneficiaries of Quota System and were given far greater representation in bureaucracy than their actual population numbers which in turn greatly helped Mohajirs prosper as a community.

The new political narrative built around changes in Quota system post 1970, one of victimisation, that continues to be repeated to this day, can't stand scrutiny

You are conveniently ignoring the fact that many of them migrated with their fantasy of "wild west gold hunt"; for better socio-economical and political opportunities. 'Forced migration' was mainly restricted to Punjab (and to some extent, Bengal). The proof lies in the fact that the districts of Western UP bordering Punjab (now Haryana) have the same percentage of Muslims (and in some cases even higher) as pre-1947 compared to Punjab where that percentage dropped from 40% to almost zero.

Thanks to Liaqat Ali Khan, a life long parliamentarian from UP, Mohajirs were able to assert and impose their linguistic identity, and were successful in gaining over-representation in civil bureaucracy through manipulation of the "host machinery".

Mohajirs have never been the 'victims', as falsely claimed by some, for political purposes of course

So people who came from Punjab are not Mohajers and people who came from UP are Mohajers.

similarly people who came from other parts of the sub continent are Mohajers but people from adjoining administrative units are not.

Punjab saw violence as its the natural road in and out of the upper plains and it saw most violence because people who inhabit these region worship land more than anything and are fundamentally conservative to the core.

Why don't you out forwards the list of ministers and senators and we shall see how many belonged to which part of the region.

The feudal inspired martial law of the 50s had nothing to do with Mohajers. Anyone from outside the clan has a hard time establishing land

This country wouldn't have been created unless Muhajirs struggled for it. Almost all members of Pakistan movement have been muhajirs including Jinnah and Liaquat.

More than 2 million acres were taken from feudal lords and distributed among some 200,000 families. But that's not the topic here

The Persian minority dictator went through with selected reforms for selected feudal.

That resulted in Bhutto. Who did the same thing which resulted in Zia and Sharif.

The only thing you can blame Liaquat for is the Objective Resolution. You get your from Ali Shariati and Qom your objective resolution.
