Sir i think india has S-300 SAM from russia already. S-300 was build same time when F-22 raptor was being build but F-22 got delayed. Russian's claim S-300 more than enough to drop F-22 raptor. Now russia have S-400. So sir if S-300 can drop F-22 raptor then why not F-16? While it believed that SPYDER SAM better than S-300 SAM. So SPYDER SAM more then capable to drop F-16 sir.

What aircraft to the Israeli's operate that they can use to test the SAMs they develop against?

U cant compare S-300 with Spyder
S-300 is an absolute master piece and has much more range than Spyder, its in the category of Long range SAMs while spyder is for short range air defence
S-300 can track 100 targets & engage 12 of them simultaneously
where as Spyder can trach only 60 targets
Both of these SAMs are no doubt lethal for every 4th generation A/C & there is no ECM for these SAMs..

U cant compare S-300 with Spyder
S-300 is an absolute master piece and has much more range than Spyder, its in the category of Long range SAMs while spyder is for short range air defence
S-300 can track 100 targets & engage 12 of them simultaneously
where as Spyder can trach only 60 targets
Both of these SAMs are no doubt lethal for every 4th generation A/C & there is no ECM for these SAMs..

Mam in that case F-16 dont have much chance in indian sky. India have S-300 defence system allready and working on new SAM which would be superior to S-300. Israel too wants india for JV. they want to build SAM which are same as S-400 level. India way too much into Defence system as india a defender country. When india trys to make offensive weapons we fails but india far ahead in making defensive weapons like AAD anti-missile system which believed to be superior to patriotic-3 that america wants india to buy in cost around 8 billion dollars. India said our AAD would be ready by 2012. So mam india already has S-300 and if S-300 SAM superior that SPYDER SAM than its not good news for F-16 mam.

i don't know about SPYDER but Serbs brought one F-16 down using Russian SAM system over Bosnia.

Comparing SAM system to a fighter jet.....? i don't think this would realistic really. One will have to take into account what kind of mission F-16 would be one while it is encountered with Spyder? What kind of Payload it carries? Is there any Anti Radiaiton missile on board etc etc? In presence of AWACS situation changes more dramatically.

There is absolutely no doubt that S-300 is a Russian master piece & there is no 4th generation A/C which can dodge it, recently i read some where that only F-35 has been able to dodge it in a simulation..
S-300 no doubt can take out F-16s & S-400 is one step ahead of S-300 and Russians claim that its radar can detect target with RCS of 0.01 m^2...
You cannot compare fully mature S-300 Variants with Spyder SAM, further S-300 is primarily for Long range Air defence & Spyder is primarily for Short Range air defence & both SAM radars have differnt capacity & uptil now there is no ECM for S-300, This dosent means that Spyder is bad, Spyder has got its own merits but there cant be 'a comparison of performance' between S-300 & Spyder
The Way SAMs are evolving it seems that in near future it will be nearly impossible for 4th Gen A/Cs to get thru a network of Short-Medium & long Range SAM defence systems, couple it with good interceptors its a night mare scenario for any AF who's in offensive mode
I dont know how ur claiming that ADD will be superior to Patriot, let 2012 come then we will see...

Spyder was ordered because Akash was not able to ful fill the parameters defined by Indian forces, to fill the gap created by Akash Spyder & Barak were ordered now recently IA has ordered some Akash Batteries, hope it clears...

Sir india dont believe in having one defence systems. india believes in having 3 layers of it. Even with anti-missile system india gave a thought of having patriotic defence system and Our AAD defence system together but the cost would be out of control. Our sciencetists claimed AAD Superior to patriotic. i think two test already done and it was more accurate and range vs patriotic. So our goverment waiting 2012. If our AAD ready then we induct and if not then patriotic would be inducted. Thats the deal between indian sciencetists and indian goverment sir.
